Just finished visiting the amazing Buddha Park. If you like Buddhas then this is the place for you. Entrance was 40,000KIP and the audio guide was 20,000 more. It took me about 1.5 hours to go round and I’m fast. It was starting to get busy around 10.30am so go early to beat the crowds. Bus stops and picks up right outside it. Many places to eat, drink and do the toilet. We worth a visit when in Vientiane.

I did not expect this to be as fascinating as it was. Sure, the artwork may not impress all art critics, but it is definitely striking through size, variety, and the stories behind it. Get very sturdy shoes and a small backpack if you want to explore the interior of the large oval building inside. The stairs are narrow and tall, quite hard to navigate and squeeze it. But definitely worth it and at times a bit unsettling. Be careful as it's quite easy to topple a statue or break it. And do get the audioguide, it give the story of each statue and it's all very interesting, especially if you come from a different cultural context.

I suspect this is one of those places which you will either love or be unsure about. My son loved it for the photographs, my wife was less than impressed and I was unsure. There is not that much to see in Vientiane, so it is difficult not to visit Buddha Park. We took a local bus there, easy enough from the Central Bus Station, very near Talat Sao Morning Market, and it was airconditioned, as the park is some way out of town and a tour/taxi to wait for us would have been expensive. We did not fancy a tuk tuk over a long distance. There is an entrance fee. The park consists mainly of an unusual, eclectic collection of concrete statues related to Buddha, there are many photographs of the park on the internet and it is certainly different. There is a restaurant there for a straightforward, pleasant and cheap meal. It is easy to catch the return bus opposite the main entrance to the park.

Lots of cement statues and a nice flower garden. The bus fare is less than 1€ with Bus 14 from the Central Bus Station. Commutes every 30min and the trip takes a little over 50min. If I would have paid over 20€ for a taxi ride I would have been quite disappointed.

Was an amazing experience. There were a whole lot if Buddha statues and an hour long walk to cover them all.. I do t think they were historical statues. But gave a good overview of the different stories and significance of the same.

We had a good visit at Buddha Park. It was a bit smaller than expected, but there are many buddhas and it's easy to walk around. It would have been nice if some information (if available) had been provided on the individual buddhas. It was an interesting area to explore and I would recommend visiting when in Vientiane. It is a bit out of town, but it's also quite unique and worth a stop.

This park has over 200 Buddha statues. The most fun was going in the mouth of one of the structures and going to three levels, hell, earth and heaven. The view from the top is great. We got an audio guide which explained what the story was for most statues. That made a big difference. Otherwise unless you knew the Hindu and Buddhist stories you would just walk through fairly quickly

In all Buddhist countries it is not difficult to see statues of Buddha reflecting different things. This park is a result of one person collecting statues and building a park. A rich collection of statues and flowers, no temple. Beautiful!

You have to take Bus No 14 from the CENTRAL BUS TERMINAL. It is 18 000 kip in March 24. It takes 1 hour with a lot of stops and waiting time in the friendship bridge station. This is also the border of Laos with Thailand over Mekong River. The ride is ok no problems. Mostly locals in the bus. It has 3 official stops ( Terminal Vientiane- Border - Buddha Park)

Take Bus 14 from Talat Sao bus station. One-way ticket costs 18,000 Laotian Kip as of 17 March 2024. journey is about 1 hour each way. It is a pretty big park full of statues. Strongly recommend renting the audio guide at the entrance if you are not on a guided tour, it only costs 20,000 Kip and is packed full of information on the statues. Don't miss out on stupa of the "3 realms". Be warned though, it is small and narrow to manuveur in and out - not for the claustrophobic or the unfit.
