Has a very old section which is the part open for tourists modest entry price and a nice place to visit some interesting ancient pieces.

For me, this is the top cultural attraction in Vientiane. The temple / museum resonated a gentle, contemplative space. The walkways and many Buddha statues were beautiful. The interior ‘sim’ is just stunning.

Wat Si Saket is one of the oldest temples in Laos and the covered cloister with niches houses 2,000 Buddha images. A very pleasant walk in the complex

One of the few attractions of Lao's capital city. Usual double pricing at the entrance, but really worth it. Famous for its gallery of Buddha images, sadly invaded by marriage photographers who push visitors away.

One of the temples in the capital. This one was quite nice to visit since it was not so crowded and the monks were doing their daily chores.

The buddha laying down at the entrance is quite spectacular. Some amazing architecture and a lovely walk through the grounds looking at the statues.

Beautiful grounds, statues surround the entire complex, lots of ancient artifacts. We went as part of OAT group, and went into the general meeting room to talk to a monk and novice about their lives. Very informative, they also showed us how monks dress and...More
