Besides the beautiful ceiling, there is a strange sculpture to look at just behind. It's made of elephants made of porcelain plates and saucers. It was closed to visit upstairs when we visited.

I went at noon and it was extremely hot and humid. The best time to visit is in the morning and evening. Nothing much there to see but if you are a person obsessed with taking picture, this place will be a good ones.

One of the most important landmark of the city - very nice piece of mixed architecture . Don’t get lazy and go to the top of it to observe amazing Vientiane. Totally suggest to do it !!!

Looks fantastic during the day n a great deal better while in the evening. It is a tad odd n seems to have the feeling of fifty % done structure.

The monument got conceived by an inspirational mix between the French “Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile” in Paris and the Taj Mahal in the Indian city of Agra; latter provided the “Asian design deviations” such as the halfbird-halfwoman figurine of “Kinaree”. Elements of the Indian...More
