The Laotian textiles are absolute works of art and the amount of work that goes in to them is just staggering! Mulberries offer a beautiful range of products to suit all tastes. I love that they support fair trade too :)

A fair trade cooperative of lovely quality Laotian handmade silk and cotton items beautifully displayed. Gorgeous silk scarves and weaving which are expensive but justifiably so and make fabulous special gifts. A myriad of other more affordable items all in color coordinated displays. Good description of the provenance of Mulberries silk-making and a loom on display. I have endeavoured to... More

Mulberries + CAMA Crafts have a different style than most of the other Lao weaving shops - it feels like a different ethnic aesthetic, characterized by simple natural colors and geometric patterns. Quilts, pillow cases, all sorts of lovely cotton products that felt slightly reminiscent of Americana quilting patterns. The store is organized by color, which I just love.

This shop is actually 2 stores/organisations joined together, both offering exquisitely made silk and cotton handcrafts. The silk is truly exceptional - of the finest quality and superb hues, it is tasteful and well designed but it is very expensive. The cotton is very reasonably priced, more 'hand made - cottage industry" but also beautifully crafted. If you want a... More

If you are looking to get some handicrafts or silk products then this is a great place to go. Right in the heart of the old city you will find the Camacrafts and Mulberries store that is an outlet for fair trade products made by local men and women. Some beautiful products and great for unique gifts which you know... More

This store sells a variety of silk items like scarves, shirts, handicrafts and decorative items. A bit on the expensive side, it is a fair trade business and supports the livelihood of Lao village communities. Mulberry tea and mulberry wine are also sold here. We purchased some items here to support a good cause.

This does not compare to Lao Textiles in diversity and presentation. I bought a few items there mainly as souvenirs but found it so so.

We come here on every visit to Vientiane. There is always a good range of genuine Laotian handicrafts, dearer than in the market but you can be sure that your money is going to help women earn an income and be self sufficient. There is a variety of crafts, but includes scarves, cushion and pillow covers, purses, bags, and some... More

The Mulberry Farm is one of the very few places now where you can see the whole silk process, from the mulberry orchards, to the silkworms and cocoons (which they send out to the villages for the ladies to process and spin) to the fining and dyeing with naturally grown dyes, and weaving, so that the end product ends up...
