Saoban is a fair trade business and a retail outlet for more than 300 village artisans. When you buy from Saoban, you provide employment and training for the artisan, and the profits stay in the village communities. Products include hand woven silk and cotton textiles using natural dyes, indigo ikat textiles, bamboo wares, silver jewellery, bags and accessories.

A nice little place, easy to find and a good selection of items to buy! A good price range too! Definitely the place to go to buy nice, good quality gifts which have been made and sold fairly!

Not so much silk, but rather beautifully dyed cottons and others fabrics in many variations: bedspreads, shawls, bags etc.

Lovely handcrafts made by local women with profits go to support disadvantaged communities. The design and quality are much better than those found in the night market. Excellent place to stock up on souvenirs in Vientiane.
