A very impressive flag with lots of things to see in the immediate area and great photo opportunities.

Fortunately it's not out of your way and you do have to see the main square if you're in Bishkek. While you are in the neighbourhood, do walk through the Old Park, a very pleasant green space - with lilacs and tulips in bloom in early...More

OK so it is just a flag, but it is very big, and will give you a good photo opportunity at the start of your Kyrgyzstan trip. It is right in the centre of the city on Chuy Avenue next to the White House, so...More

You can see this before you get to where it is. There is a changing of guards - goose-stepping style. Unfortunately, due to some renovations it has been halted, so we missed that.

The main square in Bishkek is a must see, but it is quickly done. It is a good walk in the center through the parks.

I absolutely love driving up the the flag and then hiking through the hills towards the mountains. Excellent work out, very little people and gorgeous sights. Highly recommend.

It is a flag pole, no more and no less. You can take better photos from a distance of 100 ft. The surroundings are clean.

This might be the largest flag I have ever seen. It is located in the square with the statue of Manas the Great so it's hard to miss.
