The statue and story behind it is kinda cool, but it is still just a guy holding a horse. There are better statues on the city.

We have seen countless monuments of men on horseback but Kyrgyzstan has gone one better and give us a monument of a horse on a mans back!!! Worth a visit if only for the novelty.

At first sight I though the scupture was of a persona in a cartoon. Not social realism, but a kind of caricature. However there seems to have been a a real person with the name Baatyr Kozhumkul born at the end of the 19th century...More

Dang. I mean, I've been to some pretty cool places, but this was the only one that made me feel less of a man. Great for a few photos and excellent for some motivation to get back into the gym. The restaurant opposite is pretty...More
