The central mosque is located on Gogol and Moskovskaya streets. The mosque itself is old and outdated that cannot house the large crowds that central mosques would accomodate. This summer a covered patio was added in the courtyard to give shade during the Friday prayer, that made it easier for the people to do their prayers. I don't know how it became the central mosque but there are many other much bigger and better organized mosques in Bishkek. For instance the Kassi Mosque on Moldobaeva, near Kassi university, where it got its name. or the mosque in Kok Jar mikrodistrict(Almatinka and Ahunbaeva). Currently there is a huge mosque being built behind Dostuk hotel, that will add an architectural texture to the city, and can house tens of thousands of worshippers.

In this, mosque, I liked the the toilet and shower, there is no problem with hot water.
Very beautiful interior. Entrence is free for only priers. For other (not muslims) forbidden.

Recently opened, this mosque is based on the Hagia Sofia in Istanbul - only it looks better. We couldn't go inside as it was prayer time, so hope the inside is as good as the outside

No women allowed

My male colleagues reported that it is average. For me it is less than average as I could not even look inside through the open door ;) One overly strict man put a lot of effort to guarding if a three females do not stand too close to the entrance ;)
Allegedly there is a place where women can pray, but it was behind our reach as well.

Mosque in the heart of Bishkek

Located on Gogol street on the east side of Bishkek city center, this mosque is the main mosque that you could found in the city of Bishkek. In addition, there is another mosque which is under construction further south from this mosque, which might be ready by next year.

An old sanctuary to be visite.

I don't know how to review a place of worship. It is an old place. the doors look like pieces of art. the layout is not authentic. The toilets are ok. Do not, i repeat do not miss the little restaurant next to this mosque. It has the most delicious food in bishkek. You need to try. fresh and authentic food. People are super welcoming and they treated us like kings. Two menus were worth two coffees at sierra. That's how cheap this place is.

Beautiful!

Although we visited many mosques on our trip, this one seemed very special. It may have been the atmosphere surrounding it or maybe the people we met during our visit. We enjoyed tremendously.

Bishkek main mosque

I would not say the mosque is located centrally and but not too far from it. It is located in a residential area but is easy enough to find as it takes up a large space and is hard to miss.

A very impressive interior where the size of the dome can be truly appreciated. The prayer area is large enough and the washing facilities are nearby.
