We really enjoyed our day to Free The Bears Park!!! Good guides who explained us so many things about nature, bears,Cambodia .... Great feelings when we prepared the meals/games and when we fed the bears. The kids were so happy to see the park and help animals. Unforgivable!

This was an amazing day on many levels. Getting away from the grittiness of Phnom Penh and seeing the countryside was the first treat. Learning about the bears and their horrible abuse before coming to this sanctuary was sobering. Observing the bears with their different personalities was fun. Preparing their food was hard work but rewarding when we got to see them eat the fruits of our labors. Our lunch was delicious and relaxing in the hammocks was, well, relaxing. Visiting the other rescued animals in the "zoo" was fun especially holding hands with a macaque. We then prepared enrichment toys for the bears and got to hide them in one of the enclosures. Watching them find them was a delight- particularly watching them break open a coconut and slurp the liquid out of it. This activity is not to be missed when in Phnom Penh.…

Being a bearkeeper for a day was probably the best part of our trip to Phnom Penh. I had visited 2 years ago with a bunch of students on a school trip, but wanted to take my family back there and let them experience this amazing place. My 17 year old daughter absolutely loved it, as did my husband! We got to prepare food for the bears and hide it around their enclosures. These bears have been rescued for horrific conditions and deserve our support. If you do anything in Phnom Penh, do this!…

We absolutely loved our day trip to the Free the Bears Sanctuary. Our children aged 12 and 6 were not sure what to expect but loved the drive in the country-side with the friendly driver teaching us about things we saw along the way. As soon as we arrived, they spotted bears and the day just got better and better. They appreciated learning about the work done at the Sanctuary and giggled when told one of the bears was in isolation as he was not being a good friend. They found the guides to be so friendly and open so felt they could ask lots of questions. We all loved getting hands on to prepare the enrichment treats for the bears...especially the kids. It was great to see the process from start to finish. Seeing the bears enjoying their treat was so cute. Our lunch was so delicious and it was so nice to have a day in the quiet countryside. We have told many people to do this trip and we will certainly do it again. Such a fantastic initiative, run by such beautiful human beings.…

As I have sponsored Bobo, a sun bear, for over 10 years, I took 4 grandchildren and my daughter to work at the sanctuary. We spent 3 days working behind the scenes, stuffing enrichment bamboo stalks, cutting up turnips, pumpkin, guava, sweet potatoes etc for distributing to the various enclosures. Helped with the preparation for making cement for a new building, cutting bamboo for fence construction. Really enjoyed working with the staff as they are so dedicated to looking after the bears. Kids enjoyed all aspects of the 3 day experience and I would highly recommend this adventure to all people of any age. I booked through World Expeditions and we were all happy with the booking.…
