Adequate men's haircut. No issues. Men's manicure and pedicure was also efficient. Nice staff. Some services can be conducted in the main room, or for a couple more dollars in a different room. A new noodle restaurant is next door.

For a month I have been pondering the idea of getting a hair cut and a shave in Phnom Penh , so I researched and found this establishment and took a chance and it paid off. I was amazed the this small in appearance but not in capabilities could be this good. I liked their friendly and great service I went twice and might go again before I leave the country. I highly recommend them.

I don’t know this young mans name but he was just amazingly talented. Most importantly he listened. I been in the USA for 50 years and have overpaid for many years on haircuts. This is the best haircut of my life. $8....a little high for Cambodia?? but not really when you consider the quality!! I wish I could get all my haircuts here but I had to come home. I will never forget this place and don’t know how I can ever get a cut back him again. True artists here.

Neat haircut. Speaks good English. Got my haircut exactly how I told him to. No suggestions made. Followed my instructions clearly. You can show them a photo of how you want your hair cut. Partner did gel removal, manicure and pedicure. The cleaning was thorough and well done. Good job. Overall satisfied.

Since 2016, I am every 4 weeks a happy visitor of Tokyo Barber Shop. Every time I visit TBS, I am very happy to meet the nice staff. If you want a good haircut, manicure/pedicure or massage, go to Tokyo Barber Shop. Wim

In all of my years, living in New York City & travelling all over the world to more than 40 countries, I have never had such a awkward experience. I took a taxi to this place on the way to catch my bus from PP Siem Reap. Simply asked for a haircut, & the woman at the front desk said, “ok, you go in back for shampoo”. I said~ thank you, but “I would like the haircut ONLY~ not the shampoo”. Of course I was still expecting to pay full price, however I had just washed my hair 20 minutes before arriving, I was running late on time because I had a bus to catch, & I simply don’t like other people washing my hair~ just a personnal preference. I prefer to use my own products & I don’t like the way it feels with someone else scrubbing my head. Anyway~ at first thought maybe she didn’t understand what I was trying to explain, but then it soon became clear that she was refusing to sign me up for a haircut. I was completely shocked. I have bever been in a salon where you were “required” to have the shampoo~ not in any city in the world. Secondly, I took a taxi there so that was wasted money, & now I had nowhere to get a cut before my trip. It totally caused me a huge problem~ then I had to spend a ton of time trying to find a proper barber in Siem Reap which was very difficult (much smaller town/less experienced barbers). I left this place quite upset & promised the woman that I would write a review~ so I just wanted to keep my promise:) Please avoid this place when in PP. And hopefully the owner will read this & hire a staff that can treat their customers properly.

Traditionally Western hair salons require a hair wash before cutting the hair in order to allow the hair to settle from frizz due to humidity. We learned from experience that given the current construction environment and tropical climate of Phnom Penh, this works well for our barbers and the customer. It gives a better and cleaner haircut than without a shampoo first. This is our service and described on our website. Interestingly, you never had our service, the shampoo or the haircut. Apparently your complaint is about your own time management issue which has nothing to do with us. Only an immature soul who has refused to grow up in their adult life, would live the “I know it all” belief, then take it out on other human beings as “rude/unprofessional” for not following its belief.

THIS BARBERSHOP IS MASSIVELY OVERPRICED!!! go to st 107 near Orrosey Market and the Capital bus station there are a dozen barbershops there who do cuts for 2 dollars, compared to the 7 dollars that Tokyo Barber shop charges. HAIR COLORING NORMALLY COSTS BETWEEN 8 DOLLARS AND 12 DOLLARS in Phnom Penh but Tokyo Barber shop charges 23 dollars or more. The prices that they advertise on their website are not what they really charge when you get there.
You can get a better haircut for a fraction of the cost elsewhere in Phnom Penh.

You forgot to disclose that you were never a customer of our services. Shortly before your arrival, our Team Leader received a call from a Khmer concierge. He asked us if we do hair coloring. We confirmed our hair coloring service and explained how we charge for the service. We check your hair for volume and length to determine the amount of hair coloring that would be required. With all of our services, we always quote our prices first before any service is rendered. Whether it’s through our Resurva online booking system, phone conversations, Facebook messages, emails, or price list for walk-in customers, to ensure that we both are in agreement before performing the service. Having just explained the hair coloring evaluation process upfront to your concierge over the phone, our Team Leader recognized you when you arrived. It appears that somewhere in your conversation with your concierge, our Team Leader’s explanation about the hair examination and pricing evaluation process got lost in translation between you and him. As for your complaint about the haircut cost, not only were you never a customer of our haircut & shampoo service, but you and your concierge never discussed it with us. Otherwise you would have learned that our haircut & shampoo price is $5, inclusive of the shampoo service, just as it says and just as described on our website. Your comparison to other places is just solely the price of a haircut and excludes the cost of the shampoo service. So by comparing apples to oranges, your actual complaint is that getting a haircut & shampoo cost more than just getting a haircut alone without the shampoo. That is just simple common sense. Secondly, we offer an extra $2 cost for our VIP room. Our pricing list on our website is through our Resurva online booking system just as the button is titled, “Book Online & Prices”. When you go through our Resurva booking app, the $2 VIP room is offered as an option before you confirm the booking and checkout. So you conflated two misleading issues to fabricate an erroneous story. You could have verified this yourself had you truthfully checked the website.

Seriously, I drive through tons of traffic to get here about once every few weeks and I cannot stress to any man **with hair** in this town **enough** that Tokyo Barbers is ***the*** place to go.

There are plenty of upscale places near where I live in Tuol Kork, but Tokyo is a men’s barber shop. I’ve tried the neighborhood guys around me and gotten jacked up, and gone to the rich people barber shops near me, and I just don’t like those places because there’s kids running all over the place. I love kids, but it’s just not professional at those places.

All of the negative reviews here look like frustrated travelers who just don’t know how to behave in this area- yes there’s a way people do things that you don’t get in the USA. You have to let people do their jobs.

There is absolutely nothing negative about this place!! Now there is a Taco stand in case you are hungry.

Had a great experience here with a VIP package including cut, shampoo and massage. They suggested a shave also which was much needed and very much enjoyed. They were very thorough and professional and turned me out a few hours later looking good and relaxed. cost about $60 some USD.

My husband had hair cut and hot towel shave in this place and we loved it. They speak good English unlike most places in Phnom Penh. They are professional at their work and the facility is clean. The hotel towel shave includes relaxing face and shoulder massage so I would recommend if you are in Phnom Penh and need haircut to visit this place. Hair cut for 8$ and the shave is another 8$. Compared to where we come from it’s cheap and very affordable but I heard that in Phnom Penh it would be the most expensive barber. Though they deserve the price
