About Wildlife Alliance
Wildlife Alliance is proud to offer an exclusive interactive behind the scenes tour that will allow you to experience Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre (PTWRC) in a unique and personal way! You will be given VIP access to areas normally off display to the public such as our elephant area, tiger dens, nursery and rehabilitation section, to meet the animals and keepers who care for them. Highlights include feeding and interacting with our gentle female elephants, learning about our positive rewards based training when we change our male elephant Chhouk's prosthetic foot, up close encounters with tigers and leopards, and entering the enclosure to hand feed and play with our baby macaque monkeys! The cost is a tax-deductible donation and 100% of profits go directly back to our rescue, rehabilitation, care and release work in Cambodia! We look forward to introducing you to our animals!

We've been on many visits to wildlife conservations and we lived in Africa for many years, but this was a definite highlight for us. The day felt more like friends of friends taking us around their workplace and giving us the inside scoop. I've never had so many opportunities to be so close to wild animals in a safe and comfortable way. Bring your camera, sure, but take the time to take it in and ask tons of questions. Our guides were lovely. Although the day had an 'itinerary' they were flexible and always pointing out extras. We never felt rushed. We learned so much and it never felt preachy.

What can I say but this day was wonderful finale to my trip! Meeting the elephants up close and feeding them, learning how they ended up at wildlife alliance very educational trip. I had a very small group the pick up was well communicated and on time, the leaders / keepers loved the animals and knew all about their history. Lunch was delicious too. Thank you for an excellent day!

This was by far one of my favorite days and experiences ever. I did plenty of research to find an elephant/ wildlife experience in Asia that is human and not animal abuse. With all the elephant riding places that is easier said than done. However, I can say with confidence that this place treats their animals so well and I feel good about my money going to a great cause. The only animals in captivity are there because they are being nursed to be healthy enough to be released and are released as soon as they are, or are there because they would no longer be able to survive on their own in the wild. These people truly care for the animals best interest and this day was filled with learning all about them and being able to safely interact with some. MUST DO FOR ALL!!!!

Thank you for joining our 'behind-the-scenes' fundraising tour, and for providing such a positive review! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your visit and meeting our ambassador animals. We appreciate that you took the time to do your research before visiting, to ensure your donation was going to support genuine conservation projects (which we agree can be difficult to separate!). Thank you again, we could not accomplish our care and release work of rescued wildlife in Cambodia without the support of generous individuals such as yourself!

Hello Jezzebelle, We are so grateful that you chose to support us through our tour! All profits from the tour go directly back into the care of our animals! Thanks to guests like you all of the lovely animals you met - and many more - now have the chance to have a better life, with others even a second chance at returning back to where they belong, the wild! Lunch is usually another highlight, our cook definitely gets lots of compliments on her food! Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Kindest regards,

We were very impressed with the whole experience. The guides are extremely passionate and knowledgable about the animals they care for, but also about educating visitors about ethical animal tourism. We heard so many fascinating stories and had real opportunities to interact with elephants and macaques whilst feeding them, comfortable that what we were doing was totally ethical and safe (for us and the animals). As well as the elephants and macaques, we visited the enclosures of a huge range of animals, including tigers, moon bears and gibbons. We were a couple but the tour was well suited to families too. Very decent lunch of fried rice, noodles and chicken. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning more about wildlife conservation in Cambodia in a highly interactive way. Thank you again!

Hello Kate, Lovely to hear that you both had a great day. We pride ourselves on offering the balance between educating guests on conservation messaging and the truths of the illegal trade and offering a fun filled day where you get to be up close and personal with some amazing animals. All the while you are supporting those animals in having a better life with us and helping us to rescue, rehabilitate and release many others! Macaques are always a highlight, leaving a lasting memory! The interaction does not harm their chances of successful release. When they start to exhibit wild behaviours that occur with sexual maturity they are moved to a pre-release enclosure for a time before they are returned to the forest. We have had much success this way. Thank you again for writing this review. Wishing you the best in your future travels! Kind regards,
