We visited Phnom Penh beginning of April and we loved the sound of this trip. It certainly did not disappoint! We had a lovely time, we were picked up from our hotel, the staff were lovely and welcomed us on board. Fresh drinks and nibbles...More
Picked up at hotel and taken to great old riverboat. We were lucky enough to have been the only two to have booked the tour this morning, so it was very personal and relaxing.
Wow, can’t believe we’re cruising down the Mekong on a boat...More
My friends and I really enjoyed our few hours on the "Crocodile." This was the best of four river cruises I have taken on the Tonle Sap/Mekong. The boat was smaller than others, and our cost included beverages (beer for me, Coke for some of...More
We enjoyed a sunset ride with Captain Kim. There were seven of us and three others on the boat in an unrelated group. The seating was comfortable and the captain was happy to answer questions or point out various sights, explaining how the rivers intersect...More
We love Crocodile's one story open air (dry season only!) boats with comfy and chic sofas. It's the best way to enjoy the sunset in PhnomPenh! We have been cruising with Crocodile for 3+ years and love that we can bring our own wine (no...More

Boat from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh takes about 6 hours and costs $US30. Boat from Phnom Penh to Chau Doc (on Vietnam-Cambodia border) costs about the same and takes about 4-5 hours (see bluecruisers). You'll need to take a bus from Chau Doc to Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon). Cost is about $US10-12.
You'll need to organise your Vietnamese visa ahead of time, as border control at Chau Doc DOES NOT issue visas.
A bus from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh costs $US8-12.
Luxury cruises are considerable more expensive, and take several days between ports.
Hope this helps.
