Take a tuktuk or moto and drive around at night to soak up the both the exquisite monument and atmosphere of its vibrancy. Built five years after Cambodia's independence from France, and based on the architecture and structure of Angkor Wat, this symbolism of this landmark is not to be taken for granted. As it also serves as a roundabout,... More

Beautiful place to stroll in the evening. Beautifully lit and surrounded by manicured gardens. Frequented by fitness conscious people to take their daily run / walk

I can't rate a monument. But the overall boulevard is nice. If you know the history of cambodia, the word independence is not worth a monument. In fact you can pas by in a tuk tuk an take a picture or read about it on the internet. It will be the same.

At night, the Independence Monument provides a great view, along with the surrounding parks. The best way to enjoy this landmark is to have a picnic in a nearby park. This is common with many of the locals. Grab some friends, sample some local food, find a seat or some grass to sit on, and enjoy the night scenery. Cheers,... More

The iconic Independence Monument is located in the Siahnouk Blvd and Norodom Blvd junction circle . It is built to commemorate the Combodia independence from France . The stupas were built with intricate works and the cirlce is always busy with traffic. I... More

It's a nice monument. You can't get too close as its in the middle of a roundabout but it's beautiful and worth visiting for a photo.

Easy to come visit here using Tuk-Tuk (mobile vehicles earned) around the city of Phnom Pehn. The place is very beautiful and also many tourists and locals come here. Become a focus of many of the tourist and locals. More importantly, always be careful with your personal belongings.
