Great bar, but I think it's been closed for like 10 years. Keep up the great work TA! :D You might want to consider checking which of your "top whatever" are still in business. This one went away long before COVID yet it's one of the best bars in the city? !

This is a lovely, cosy little bar on a small side street off the riverside and right beside the Royal Palace and the Unesco building. A bit off the beaten track but worth seeking out. Perfect place to watch the locals relaxing in the evenings in the park. A few tables outside and more inside. My favourite bar in Phnom Penh with a great selection of drinks and the French guys who own the place are always very welcoming and pleasant.

This small bar, located in the area of the Royal Palace is a pleasant surprise. The small terrace offers a direct view of the quay and the entrance to the Royal Palace. Very nice to have a drink for two ... or more and enjoy the view and the illuminations of the esplanade in the evening. The interior is quite classy, decor heals, boss nice, in short a good place to relax. The bar 'Blue Dragon' is located between the quay and the Palace, on the right side of the esplanade if one faces the Palace from the Sisowath Quay.

Blue Dragon is an unassuming small bar off the Royal Palace square, owned & ran by a French expat. The place is nice (sort of a classic bar), the music mellow (and occasionally jazzy), the patrons predominantly expats living in Phnom Pehn. Seemingly there is nothing special about it. Yet there is something about the relaxed vibe, the simple & elegant environment, the well-crafted drinks, the friendly atmosphere. It is just normal working people having a normal after-work drink but in a city like Phnom Pehn all of them have a story tell about how they got there or what they do. So this quiet & uneventful venue flourishes with interesting characters (including the owner himself) and great conversations. If this is what you are seeking (as opposed to party fun) this is your spot. The only negative is the smoking inside but the problem is relatively mild. Definitely 5 stars!

The Blue Dragon is situated in Street 184 and within 50m of busy Sisowath Quay. You'll get an immediate, warm and sincere welcome and you'll feel at home right away.
Cosy comfortable furniture and decor. Civilised music at a civilised volume. Good conversation to be had but if you want to be alone with a significant other, you'll find space. There is a good bar selection, including Belgian beers and some excellent single malts. It's not going to be the cheapest place around; it's not trying to compete with the buy one - free one places on the riverfront or Street 51. It has its own selling point.
Highly recommended. A really lovely place with good people. The mainly Francophone regulars made this Englishman very welcome.

Seems unless you live in Phnom Pehn and already know , the rest of us stumble across this little oasis of genteel calm. Thank goodness I did. The BD comes to it's fore at night as it is a wine bar/night time drinking venue. The French guy runs a class act with charming decor and helpful advice. Everthing about the place oozes charm......highly recommended for a nightcap or more....

The spirit Hemingway is not far ... Located next to the Royal Palace, it offers a really relaxing time. The legend has long since been written - but here, it comes back to life every night! Mr Jeff is there to remind you all the good times.
