The Flicks Community Movie Houses are the really unique locations in Phnom Penh where you can enjoy the blockbusters, documentaries and the classics on a big wide screen, in "uber-comfy" air conditioned movie rooms, from before there were big cineplexes.

The Flicks are the ONLY legit movie houses in town also, fully approved by the Ministry of Culture and the Cambodian Department of Cinema.

The Flicks 1 on Street 95 is the legendary movie house from the time there was no other big screen in town, located in an original wooden Cambodian house and features an all air conditioned bar and a leafy outside terrace. Its movie room seats 30 people.

The Flicks 2 is its little brother in the city center and also screens the must-see movie for all visitors, The Killing Fields, daily in its 20 seats movie room.

The Flicks 3 is the latest 30-seats venue on Street 258, which also features a restaurant and guesthouse.

Enjoy your movies for only $3.50 Per day, with a drink, snacks and homemade fresh popcorn!

Flicks 1 is the only one I know, and there are two other Flicks locations. I love going to Flicks 1 because I can sit on a sofa or lie on a mattress. I can eat popcorn and sip beer on the balcony or in the bar before or after the movie and inside the theatre during the film. It... More

We love going to Flicks. It's relaxing, friendly, air conditioned, and we like have a snack while watching a movie.

They have 3 movie theaters in different places in Phnom Penh. We went to #2 the first day to watch Killing Fields. Cozy and right by a nice hostel. The other day we went to #1 for the Theory of Everything, and they had a nice outside area with comfy chairs, insanely smelly popcorn and a really funny selection of... More

We went to Flicks twice, different movie houses. Great place to see good films. Saw the Interview, and the Killing Fields.

While staying in 11 Happy Backpackers we went to the Flicks to watch The Killing Fields and Automata. It's such a cozy and personal atmosphere we loved it - even though Automata was a shocking film! Watch out though, get in there quick because you mind end up with someones smelly feet dangling in your face if you're not careful.... More

The three cinemas in different locations in Phnom Penh are a great place to catch up on the latest movies. Whoever chooses the films to show has great taste, as they are certainly not the usual fare shown in Asian cinemas. We saw two new release films for the price of $3.50. These cinemas would be a great place to... More

The three of us spent an evening here on our trip to Phnom Penh and it was a fantastic experience. A very unique, small cinema (only us in the last movie!) with comfy pillows on the floor and a bar outside where you can order food for the movie as well. For $3.50 you get entry for the whole day... You buy a ticket for 3.50$ and can watch as many movies as you want at all three flicks movie houses in Phnom Penh. If you want, you can order food which they bring into the cinema. The only cons were the nasty smell which we got used to and the air con which was very cold. Bring a sweatshirt... More

The selection of the movies is excellent - you can see that the person selecting the movies thinks it through and puts emphasis on variety in it. Plus the fact that they run the movie `the killing fields` every day at the same time is a good approach to educate people wbout what happened in Cambodia. The screening room is... More
