The Flicks Community Movie Houses are the really unique locations in Phnom Penh where you can enjoy the blockbusters, documentaries and the classics on a big wide screen, in "uber-comfy" air conditioned movie rooms, from before there were big cineplexes.

The Flicks are the ONLY legit movie houses in town also, fully approved by the Ministry of Culture and the Cambodian Department of Cinema.

The Flicks 1 on Street 95 is the legendary movie house from the time there was no other big screen in town, located in an original wooden Cambodian house and features an all air conditioned bar and a leafy outside terrace. Its movie room seats 30 people.

The Flicks 2 is its little brother in the city center and also screens the must-see movie for all visitors, The Killing Fields, daily in its 20 seats movie room.

The Flicks 3 is the latest 30-seats venue on Street 258, which also features a restaurant and guesthouse.

Enjoy your movies for only $3.50 Per day, with a drink, snacks and homemade fresh popcorn!

We found them on the internet, they have three locations in town and show The Killing Fields (the movie from 1984) twice a week. It's a art house/ backpackers kinda theatre so we were all laying down on blankets and pillows but it's a great movie and what better place to see it than in Phnom Penh and first or... More

After eating something funny called happy pizza I was taken to the middle of Phnom Penh's red light district. Rather than receiving a happy ending as I was naturally expecting, I was in fact taken past all the girly bars to here, the Flicks Cinema to watch the suitably quintessential Cambodian movie the one & only 1984 film, The Killing... Great place to find the latest movies as well as old classics and unique foreign films. Pay $3.50 for one movie or for the whole day! Air con is good quality and it is great place to hang out!

Here's what you get with a visit to the Flicks Community Movie House: recline on a comfy futon in air conditioned comfort while watching a first-run movie; munch on coconut-oil popcorn and adjust the neck pillow so you have the perfect view of the wide screen in front of you. Enjoy a cold beverage and linger after the movie to... More

We decided to go to Flicks 2 to watch some movies, to relax and to wait for our night bus there. The foreign staff was really nice and the movies were great. We stayed there watching 3 movies. The price was great and we stayed there till the end of the last movie. Cozy place that we can highly recommend.

Firstly, I think they must have taken note of the reviews cause the girl on reception was superb! Friendly, popcorn delivered to you before the movie. Does wat it says on the tin. Perfect if fancy catching a movie. Oh and the bowl of popcorn is HUGE! Enjoy!

A perfect activity following Happy Herb Pizza, The Flicks charges a single per person fee for the day - only $3.50 for as many movies as you'd like to stay for. It’s technically a(n air conditioned) community movie house and they usually play 3 movies each day (4 on the weekends, I think), some of which are fairly recent. Popcorn,... More

The Flicks Community Movie House is by far one of the most comfortable, eclectic and entertaining places to visit in Phnom Penh. You don't have to wear shoes; the sofas are comfortable; and there's air conditioning. In the week that I spent in Phnom Penh, I made several visits to the Flicks, and was able to enjoy several amazing films,... More
