The Killing Field and Toul Sleng Genocide Museum Tour

77 reviews
A professional English speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the killing fields of Choeung Ek Genocide Center – 9 miles away south of Phnom Penh. The infamous killing fields have a bloody history. Once an orchard and a Chinese cemetery, the Khmer Rouge, lead by Pol Pot, turned the place into what became known as the killing fields, where they executed around 20.000 victim. Over three years, they massacred and buried 2.5 million people. After remembering the dead, return to Phnom Penh to visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21). Meaning hill of the poisonous trees, Pol Pot turned a once popular high school into a high security prison. 20,000 people were imprisoned there, many of whom were tortured for information. Today it serves as a museum and a reminder of darker days. <br>Your guide will return you to your hotel or guesthouse. .

Not a bad little place, some nights are packed to the rafters but others it can be fairly quiet. Little terrace with views onto the crossroad upstairs.

Best thing about this place is the 2nd floor balcony seating overlooking the street. Draft was 2 last year now 2.5. That's higher than pattaya prices. lady drinks from 3.5 to 4. supposedly happy hours until 7. id start the night here before 7 and drink elsewhere. mix of older women with decent English skills and attractive younger ones with very basic English. beware I was told by staff than only 20% of the staff is actually barfineable. They will lie and say they are but when it's time say they are in thier period or they feel sick from the alcohol you just bought them. lol and you have to buy 3 lady drinks plus thier bar fine that starts for 12 vs 10 at most other places. dancers are 15 bf.
