Wonderful very good meeting up with the native of the Mekong very humble people and friendly. The Jahan guide was very impressive and knowledgable understandably considering he was 12 years old at the killing fields and witnessed the demise of his parents and was lucky to escape the clutches of the Khmer Rouge. Whilst talking about the Killing fields it... More

From the moment we boarded we knew this boat was going to be special. The rooms are huge and spacious. The bed was a little on the hard side. The bathrooms are large and have a fantastic shower. The balcony is wonderful to sit on and watch everyday life of Cambodians on the Mekong. The ship itself had wonderful facilities... More

We ventured down the Mekong from Prek K’Dam to My Tho port on a River Cruise over 8 days, it was amazing to see people living in their environment, we visited villages and Floating Markets along the way. The amount of Dredging equipment was fascinating as well. Apparently there is 55,000 kilometers of river in the Mekong Delta.

Pandor company know how to look after their guest with respect and personal care making the expensive very pleasurable with beaufiully prepared food, comfortable cabins, interesting tours and great staff. Such an adventure and with beautiful scenery, local riverside markets and silver craft villages are amongst a few of the experiences as you gently sail along the Mekong River.

We recently took the Jayavarman cruise from Saigon to Siem Reap. An excellent river cruise during which the company lived up to it's 'heritage line'' name - not only was the boat a faithful reproduction of the old river cruisers (updated to include all the mod cons we expect) but also they made every effort to immerse you in the... A gentle week's cruise along a fascinating, busy waterway. Well equipped, efficient and comfortable. The crew and staff were superb -couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and courteous. The outings on shore and in sampans (also ox carts, tuk-tuks & bus) were interesting and tour guides knowledgable. Having booked late we had a smallish cabin but it was perfectly adequate... More

Our 7 night cruise plus 4 nights of top hotels in Siem Reap and Saigon with Cruisco introduced us to a culture in transition from traditional rice farming and Buddhist monasteries to building cranes and expensive cars. Fascinating outings with local guides to a village school, local markets, silversmithing, a brick factory and more were all optional. We returned from... More

It’s hard to find enough superlatives to adequately describe our experience with Avalon Waterways Mekong River Cruise on their vessel the Siem Reap. We started in Siem Reap and had two days to visit Angkor Wat. We were then flown to Phnom Penh where we boarded the boat for our cruise. The accommodations both on the boat and the hotels... More

I cannot believe that Challs317 was reviewing the same boat! We had a Superior Cabin (a class below De Luxe) which was spacious and clean throughout, with a good sized private balcony. The quality towels were changed twice a day and the cabin was serviced morning and evening. The staff were all very efficient and friendly. The dining room was... More
