I went to Barishal for 4 days. The first day I used a private guide tour with Ontu (local guide).
He was very friendly and service mind. Ontu was also very helpful in assisting with booking the launch ticket also money exchange.
For the one-day tour of Barisal backwater, it was very fantastic to see the floating market , walk through the local village and see the important mosque.
However, the boat was very slow so I have to spend almost 5 hours ( the distance was not quite far) on the boat with nothing much just tea and tea ;). The provided Breakfast was scamble EEG and roti. we had the launch at a good restaurant (Zfran)
And the cost was 9,000 BDT / 6hr , which was a bit high if compared to the itinerary ans the cost of living.

This is a belated review. I had a four day customised trip by this company to Dhaka, Sonargaon and a heritage tour in the Northwest in early November. First the arrangements over email and Whatsapp with Mahmud were very prompt and he endeavoured to answer my questions to the fullest. Payment via online transfers and letter of invitation issues were settled with ease.
My guide Babu and driver on the ground were competent and experienced. They had to juggle changes in situations on the ground, including suggesting alternative places to visit to make up for the closures of what I had expected to see and also cater to my additional requests along the way.
All in all, very enjoyable and smooth experience.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We are a family from New Zealand and visited Bangladesh for a month in May 2022. Ontu from Trip to Bangladesh was extremely helpful booking a 5 day tour from Dhaka to Mongla and the Sundarbans including two amazing overnight launch trips up Bangladesh’s incredible rivers.
Ontu was also very helpful assisting to book train tickets for independent legs of our journey around Bangladesh. And he organised a fantastic day tour of Dhaka when we first arrived. We felt very comfortable knowing we could call him at any time… and he helped to translate and speak to a couple of booking operators and hotel staff for us without any hesitation!
If you are coming to Bangladesh then definitely get in touch with Ontu at Trip to Bangladesh to help plan your itinerary, suggest some options you might not have thought of - and to meet a great contact for your travels.
Thank you for everything, Ontu. Our travels in Bangladesh are something we will treasure forever!

I spent 3 nights / 2 days from Dhaka to Khulna with Ontu who helped me to organise perfectly this leg of my adventure in Bangladesh.
I can simply confirm his professionalism and kindness mentioned by other travelers before, even more appreciated while I traveled solo just after the politic instability. And it is not so easy to organise activities there, at a reasonable price as well.
He booked for me the ferry ticket from Dakha port to Barisal before we enjoyed a full day together with a private transfer, exploring backwater / floating markets. We stop on the last day in Bagherat to see the magnificent Mosquee and every explanations and stops were nice occasions to learn more about this fascinating country.
Even after this short time together, Ontu helped me or cared about my time in Dhaka, Sreemangal on my own.
I don't post any reviews normally and travel on my own rather on a backpacker mode but I feel Ontu and Bangladesh really deserve to be explored and I felt safe everywhere meeting so kind people, even during this complicated times for the country. Of course it is more intense traveling there than in some SE Asia "classic" countries but you will both discover beautiful places and people and help them a little bit, which they really need.

I recently spent two weeks travelling all around Bangladesh visiting most parts of the country. It was a really great experience, extremely well organized by Mohammad Saimoon Islam (Ontu). I had excellent guides and drivers and although the trip involved a wide range of transport, the transitions were seamless. Furthermore, the accommodation was excellent. Bangladesh is a fascinating country to visit and if you are considering travelling there, I would highly recommend Ontu from - Trip To Bangladesh to organise it. Not only is Ontu from - Trip To Bangladesh highly efficient and reliable but his team members provide excellent value for money.

Ontu is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and is perfect with logistics. He took good care of my transportation (launch from Dhaka to Barisal, car ride from Swarupkati to Mongla and Mongla to Jessore), my accommodation in Mongla and the sightseeing itself (Barisal half day backwater tour and Sundarbarns one day tour). The price point may seem high by local standard, but the truth is you can't quite navigate everything by yourself in places like Barisal and Mongla. Ontu's services make sure you make the most out of your time with reasonable comfort.

We had a wonderful water trip in Borishal with Ontu. It was awesome and unforgettable journey! Ontu was so informative, highly knowledgeable , organized, and kind person. We discovered new beauty of Borishal as a result, because of him. Guide should be like him. We were so pleased on him, specifically my son Omi. Wishing him all the best !!!

I can't say enough positive things about the reliability, kindness and informativeness of our guides, Mr. Ontu in the South of Bangladesh, and Mr Rabbi in Dhaka. They made us feel like esteemed guests, all the while looking out for our safety, providing informative recommendations and keeping the tour very interesting. The riverboat cruises were the highlight of the trip. We also had a chance encounter with school children, for which Mr Ontu interpreted for us. It was truly a lovely experience and we highly recommend Mr Ontu's agency to anyone wishing to visit Bangladesh!

We went on an awesome little tour with Ontu from Trip 2 Bangladesh! Ontu made everything so easy and we explored places we would never have got to on our own, in a short amount of time! Ontu made all the arrangements, including getting our boat tickets. We road the famous Rocket to Morelganj, where we were pickup by a car then drove to Bagerhat (where we stayed overnight). After exploring 15th century Mosques of Bagerhat, (World Heritage Site) we went to Narail - Gobra Village to see the Otter Fishing and had a nice lunch made at the fisherman’s home. After that we then went to a remote village outside of Barisal, and stayed at a rustic little Homestay. Friendly people and a great experience, with dynamic folk music and a gathering for other villagers. We only wish we had a bit more time to explore the village and area. It seemed a little rushed. The last morning, we travelled by boat through the backwaters, and to a floating rice market. Then we got on a public ferry at Barisal back to Dhaka. Accommodations and food are rustic so be prepared to rough it a little. Thanks to Ontu for a great little adventure!

I made a last minute travel adjustment to come to Bangladesh. Mr. Ontu and team were able to arrange a 4 night solo tour for me with only 2 days notice. I usually avoid tours and arrange my own travel, but there is no way I would have had a successful trip in Bangladesh without the help of Mr Ontu who arranged tours, accommodations, and 2 overnight boat trips. Mr. Russell, who accompanied me in Dhaka, is an awesome young man - he also speaks Japanese.
I felt very well looked after the entire time - I was well fed, kept safe, and personally delivered and picked up from my room on the over night boat cruises. Everbody was very punctual for pickups and the car had AC and was comfortable for the longer drives!

Would you have a guide available to show me around from morning to late afternoon in Dhaka on the 17th of May? I recently began a YouTube channel and it would be very useful to have a guide who could help me find great content. Anyways if you have someone available on that day, how much would it be?
Kind regards
Floyd

I would like to book a one day private tour, but my flight arrives in Dhaka at 9am. If it is just me, I was wondering if it was possible to start the tour an hour later than indicated on the schedule? Also, what is the best email to reach you at for booking?
