Check out the “Pet Sematary” stuffed tiger
Sep 2019
You can’t help but break out in laughter at the ridiculous tiger in the taxidermy section. Looks like something out of the Stephen King movie. There are some scraggly birds nailed to tree branches with the nails clearly visible.

The only exhibition worth seeing is the ivory room. Has some nice pieces. Other than the silly dead tigers and ivory, no point in going here. It’s a pathetic excuse for a museum.

A Must Museum with Dated Displays
Dec 2019
This very large museum covers several floors. It is swarming with locals and contains a bit of everything. From stuffed animals (needing significant refreshing) to sculptures, utensils, cloth, paintings, there is a bit of everything. Most things are labelled but the overall feeling is one of being overwhelmed with dated displays, As with most museums in Bangladesh, no photos allowed. It's a must see museum for an overview of Bangladesh so try to see it at the beginning of the trip. Just don't expect international standard displays.

The War of Liberation rooms are well worth a visit
Jan 2020 • Couples
I was most interested in the rooms on the war of liberation which were well presented but very confronting. There are graphic images of the time and some video footage.

The rest of the museum was ok but some of the dioramas are a little dated.

Interesting

Most museums are poorly maintained, due to lack of funds, but this was an interesting place. Was very amused by the top floor where they exhibit the international art: you can find the "Mona Lisa", and Van Gogh's Sunflowers there.....(ok they framed the posters)
