Location In the heart of the city, makes it easily accessible and affordable. Too many shops , hence, lot of options for the buyer. And the mall is second largest in South Asia. Many people just come to visit and have some good quality time as there are multiplexes, food court and many more. I personally like Bashundhara City . Hope this review will help the travelers.

Bashundhara City Shopping Mall was the largest shopping mall in South Asia and the 3rd largest in the world when it was inaugurated. These records may, or may not, hold today but it is still one of the largest shopping malls in the world! It is impeccably clean and has everything one would expect from such a large shopping mall, including a movie theatre, salons, boutiques, ATM machines of different banks, etc. There are lots of restaurants, showrooms and shops selling everything you can think of. Each floor in the mall is reserved for different category of items. So for instance all the eateries are on the top most floor, all mobile phone shops are on another two separate floors, all clothes shops are on different floors, etc. Each floor is called a "Level" inside the shopping mall. If you get lost, you can easily ask for help from the administrative staff and they'll use the overhead public announcement system to summon your stray/lost friends or relatives to you. LOL.

I had a great time shopping here with friends.

Amazing shopping mall, many elevators and escalators. Hundreds of shops, stalls and a nice food court in 8th floor. Had our late lunch in Indian Tasty restaurant.

Don't get me started , I was there when this huge monstrosity of a mall opened and I am still not overwhelmed by it 8 years on . Its big and confusing , its unattractive and boring . But that being said it has its merits. Its air-conditioned , it has toilets that are semi clean and it has a million shops selling everything you can imagine . The food court has some interesting stalls serving traditional things as well as the western invasion snacks of doubtful quality. There are a lot of clothes shops , and a lot of electronics shops . The builders of this ugly mall were Korean and if I have the chance to suggest something I would recommend investors to look further before employing any architects or style ideas from that company again . The ventilation leaves a lot to be desired and its always semi dark inside . No natural light penetrates and electricity saving is in full swing always which makes it a bit depressing ,( nonetheless I welcome the move , as electricity is scarce in Dhaka ) I just wonder why they did not incorporate more natural light into the place

A huge shopping mall. There is always a huge crowd. People come here not only to shop but enjoy sitting outside the stair case, watch movies and go to the food court. Very popular for the young generations. Right at the heart of the city and located near the popular residential areas, the place is always crowded despite the huge traffic jam in the area. We went to eat and watch movie. The movie houses are still good and they show good movies. The glittering images of the past has run down a bit. It looks old and crowded, but good place to enjoy with friends.

Everytime i go to Dhaka i spend some time here to shop for a new suit.Plenty of shops on second and third floor with a good choice of suits .All brands ( probably all from the same factory) Big sizes a bit hard to find. Do not pay more then 100-120 USD for a nice suit.Alterations free.Negotiate hard as prices offered start at 300 USD. Other floors have no value for men, but women might appreciate the gold, jewelry and shoes available.Topfloor is food, food, food......

This is a huge mall right in the heart of the city, near the Hatirjheel in Dhaka city. The good thing about this mall is that they have divided each floor with shops offering similar goods/articles. So one floor has mostly jewelry shops, and the next has all leather items and so on. It gets damn busy on weekends and is difficult to move around in. It has eight floors and all flooded with mix of mid-range and up market brands. There is also a scope of negotiation in most shops which offer local made stuff. It is a decent visit and good for those looking to spend time shopping around.
