We contacted Sayed with a tight window of time to work with as we had limited days left in Dhaka.
He assured us that there was a strong possibility we could receive permission to visit the Parliament Builds but he had to work fast and we had to follow the strict application process that he expertly guided us through.
His superb communication skills gave us confidence he would be able to provide the necessary passes and indeed he was able to do this.
Excitedly we met Sayed and one other of his clients at the main gates on the day of our tour and proceeded through security to begin this privileged tour of magnificent architecture on a site of great national importance.
We were given time to absorb and photograph the buildings before handing our cameras in and entering through the main entrance. Sayed accompanied us with official guides and security personnel showing us around and explaining where we were in the vast building.
Although we were in a very formal environment the staff were welcoming and open for questions.
Sayed’s presence was a pleasure too and added a professional touch to the tour that we all enjoyed.
After being allowed into the central parliament chamber which was incredible, the tour cleverly wound its way up and out finishing on the huge south facing terrace with fantastic views of the building and the grounds.
What an experience!

Mr. Sayed was the most helpful and wonderful guide. He helped organise many parts of my trip even though I had engaged his services primarily for the Parliament Building Tour (which is really worth a dekko for any one interested in modern architecture). He is a great communicator and kept in touch over WhatsApp regularly before and after the tour itself. He also took me to his house and fed me a home-cooked meal of fish, veggies and rice when he realised I was interested in the local cuisine. Experiences like these are hard to come by and I am thankful to him for opening his home to me. I highly recommend his services to anyone visiting Bangladesh.

I had a great time touring Dhaka and Barishal with travel and explore BD. Mr Sayed, the owner, was responsive and attentive before and all throughout the trip. He is friendly, knowledgeable and i had a good time walking the streets of Old Dhaka, taking a wooden boat ride and trying the local food.
The trip to Barishal was great too. Mr Ontu, a local guide, is knowledgeable, friendly and introduced lots of great local snacks and dishes. The Barishal backwater boat rides are simply serene and beautiful. The water markets and otter fishing are eye openers.
Overall, thanks to the trip, i have a very good experience in Bangladesh and look forward to visiting this underrated yet wonderful country again soon.

I really appreciated my two tours with Sayed. He obviously knows the sites very well, and patiently answered my endless questions, about all aspects of Bangladesh. Very knowledgeable and pleasant man to be around.
Depending on your style, you may want to ask Sayed to visit fewer sites, but in greater depth. Not only does this increase quality time, but it also keeps you off the roads in or near Dhaka, where traffic is monstrous.

I had an amazing tour and explored old Dhaka, Panam city, palaces, museums, boat rides and more. He ensured that we saw everything we could in the short period of time we had for the tour. Both days of the tour were incredible and fully customizable. He is a wonderful tour guide and I highly recommend his services!!

I went to Bangladesh in February of 2019. During that time Abu Sayed was working for a different company and I am glad to see he has started his own tours. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the country and city. He was on time and showed me many wonderful things about Dhaka and Old Dhaka. I hope to return and visit again soon.

I have now done sightseeing with Sayed for three days across two separate trips to Bangladesh. He is an incredible guide, with great knowledge of the history and culture in Dhaka. He offers comprehensive tours around the major sights in both Dhaka and Sonargaon, so makes for a great day trip while staying in Dhaka. My favorite parts were the boat trip to a village on a river island, and walking down the streets of Old Dhaka. I highly recommend Sayed for any travelers looking to get around!

It was a wonderful experience to see the master piece of Louis Kahn’s work. The tour was definitely worth attending and the guild was also very professional for explaining the project.

Dakha is a world treasure, and convivial Sayed was the perfect guide to reveal the city’s cultural riches. We spent a full day exploring the sights and sounds of the city by bike and by foot, sampling the city’s wonderful cuisine along the way. Possessing excellent English and providing prompt correspondence, Sayed will give you the confidence to explore this mecca of humanity without fear, leaving you with fond memories for a lifetime.

Today I had the best tour of my travel life. I was lucky to have Abu Sayed as my guide, whose passion and knowledge of the country’s culture, history and food is unmatched. With less than normal notice period, Sayed put together an action packed itinerary with both tourist must-sees and off-the-beaten-path treasures. He was friendly, engaging and had a sense of humor that made me feel more like a friend than a customer. I highly recommend Travel and Explore BD as the premier sericve for guiding any type of tour you desire.
