Even if today‘s Eurovision Song Contests interest you as little as me, Baku Kristal Saray might be a sight for you to visit. It lies near National Flag Square on Baku waterfront. You can also see it from Upland Park near the Flame Towers, but then do not make the same mistake as I did: From up there, the size of the building cannot be rightly judged. It offers seats for some 23.000 spectators and is a very interesting architectonic complex built by a German company in cooperation with others. The membrane can be lit so that the whole building resembles a crystal, but all that glitters is not gold: for the building site, older houses were demolished and there were a lot of protests. In fact, the construction of all those postmodern sports and concert halls in Baku only underlines the aspirations of the state of Azerbaijan to become a bridge between Asia and Europe.

Great Concert Venue
Apr 2018 • Solo
Went here to see Dua Lipa as part of the F1 weekend. Walked from the GP track which was a bit windy. The venue is huge and everything was very well organised except it would have nice to know how much the Gold Access on the night would have been.

Good Venue
Apr 2018 • Couples
Went to see the 3 concerts over the Baku F1 weekend and every night was well organised with friendly staff. It's a good view back towards the city as well, and the hall itself is nicely lit.

It's also clean (apart from maybe the loos, but that's concerts for you), has decent facilities and if you're at the F1 in the coming years I'd recommend getting to those concerts, especially if they're laying on the free buses.

Loads of different ages ranging from 5-75, and it felt safe there.

AMAZING BUILDING

Like many buildings in Baku this one is amazing to view and take photos of. It is a sight well worth seeing as it is also right next door to the National Flag Square

Beautifull
May 2014 • Friends
Being there at night is beautiful, millions of lights everywhere. It is nicer to look there from afar. Inside it is like a big stadium with stadium chairs. Place where usually big concerts get held. Take your time to look at it from boulevard and there's no need to go closer if you r not going to any concert.

nice building
Nov 2013 • Couples
Baku Crystall Hall is a nice indoor arena that built in 2012 and Eurovision song festival was held there in 2012. it is coast of Baku and near Flag square and Baku boulevard. i think this building is just for photography from far distances and nothing else for travelers. in especial times like music or sports festivals it is so interesting for visit but not in normal times. when you visit Baku boulevard you can also visit this place.
