The little and free museum is well done but has no "beautiful objects" and is clearly aimed at history teachers and people VERY interested in archeology. I'm not one of them.

This museum is located near the double gates of Icheri Sheher. It was built in a building called the House of Chains. The museum has two sections. One sections covers Azerbaijan’s history from Stone Age to the medieval times and is called the
archaeology section. The ethnography section covers the culture and lifestyle of 19th and 20th-centuries. The museum gives us an insight into the ancient traditions and shows us how they shape the modern life of the present Azerbaijanis. It is a very interesting museum. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
