A small Lillie water fountain area around a restaurant converted into a little mini canal with a few boats and names venice. Nothing close to real venice. Good for time pass

There were a lot of people who wanted to ride the canals of Little Venice. The ski itself lasts five minutes. Maybe a little longer. You wait in line more. The boat, adapted to a gondola, glides silently through the water because it is equipped with an electric motor.

On the seafront of Baku, a few meters from the carpet museum, there is Little Venice, a nice attraction much appreciated by tourists. An artificial "little Venice" was reproduced, with canals and bridges reminiscent of the lagoon city. It's fun to watch the tourists on board the gondolas recreated for the occasion...even if the real Venice is something else entirely!!

LIttle Venice is an area within Baku Boulevard that is made up of man-made waterways. It was built in 1960 but was later expanded in 2012 and consists of a labyrinth of canals interspersed with islands that are connected by stone bridges complete with gondolas plying the canals. It was out of season and the canals were being dredged when we visited in November 2019. Little Venice isn't meant to be strictly authentic but it is a fun activity along Baku Boulevard.

This is not a must do but it is a gentle bit of fun to while away a few minutes of an afternoon, while walking through the gardens.

This is just so fake, I can't grasp why people would build this, let alone ride a boat. It has nothing to do with Venice and lacks any atmosphere and purpose. Baku is better off highlighting aspects that are unique to the city and country than build stuff like this. Awful.

Overrated and Disappointing

Little Venice in Baku was a letdown. The ticket staff were rude and unhelpful, and the place didn’t open on time. the overall experience felt very overrated. Not worth the hype or the price – definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

Adjacent to the carpet museum on the waterfront, you will walk past. And please, do walk past.
Unless you have small children, who cannot resist a silly boatride . . .

Its very nice place to walk and have a small boat ride by paying very minimal charges, Its fun of short time. If you are in Old City , or Maidan Tower or Sahil Area its the walkable distance to have the fun. Ticket is just 3 Manat.

There is no signage for the queues, you pay a couple of guys sitting on lawn chairs, no information at all about timings of boat departures, we were told to wait for an hour in the queue for our turn after we got our tickets so we asked whether we could walk around (as we had small children) and would come back in an hour - they refused this although many people showed up later having bought their tickets, walked around then came back in time for their turn. The boat driver was on his phone the entire time and the ride lasted for around 8-10 minutes.
