Aydan was a wonderful tour guide for Baku. I took her city tour, and then the next day visited Ateshgah and Yanar Dag (the fire temple and fire mountains), and were treated to a stop at the bazaar on the way back (that was really worthwhile too, but then I love markets). Aydan organised everything and speaks Russian, Azeri and English fluently, meaning everything goes very smoothly! Highly recommend. Her tour company is only new but will be offering lots of different tours and activities soon!

Ayden is one the most competent and open-minded tourist guide who I have ever met. She creates very warm and friendly atmosphere during the tour. She knows a lot of interesting facts about the city and Azerbaijan history and culture in general. She also recommended me good quality places to eat and make shopping in the city centre. Ayden helped me to organize trip to places close to Baku e.g. Gobustan or to mud volcanoes. Thank you for everything!

We visited Nizami Street every day from evening till late. It never sleeps. Shops & restaurants stay open till early hours of every morning. It is very safe and quiet. Some cafes play music or bands. Don't miss it.

Aydan took us on a wonderful walking tour of the lovely and elegant 19th century part of Baku, giving us a historical introduction which was perfect as this was our first day in the city. She was a thoroughly delightful and knowledgeable guide who knew her city and its food. She took us to a restaurant (Nergis) in Fountain Square where she ordered a multicourse meal in this excellent and atmospheric cellar restaurant. It was quite a feast! then she took us to Mado for Azeri tea. Finally, she shared with us her favorite bookstore. This was a fabulous was to begin our visit to Baku! Highly recommended.

We signed up for the free walking tour of the Old City, arrived at the appointed starting point 15 minutes early and stayed 15 minutes after and no one showed. We had reserved weeks in advance and reconfirmed three hours before, but no one showed. I sent an email to see what happened and finally received a response two days later. It said our reconfirmation, which was three hours before the tour, was too late! Just be aware that they are not dependable.

Hello George Fleetwood, Thank you for your review! We would like to remind that this is free tour and many of the tourists treat it not seriously and in many cases they are not shown. And hence, sometimes this totally waste of time for guides. So in order prevent this we send confirmation e-mails to the tourists and are due to receive confirmation not later than 11 pm on the previous day. Our working hours, as you also can see on our tripadvisor profile is 10 am to 11 pm. Yes, it was too late, because at this early time when everyone sleeps, we could not organize tour. Moreover, you are the only one who have signed up that day. And the guide also was waiting until 11 pm on the previous day, so we notified him. But your reply came too late...

I went on the 14th May 18 and had a great time with my tour guides.
I’m of Indian origin although born in Britain and it was fascainiting to see where Hindus and Sikhs one prayed and worshipped. The price paid for suck knowledge and seeing such sights. is worth it and I will always remember it.
Big thanks to my tour guides.

Met our guide, Elnur who spoke excellent English.
He took us on a short walk to our first bar.
The bars are all within easy walking distance and our guides knowledge of the country/city and general world knowledge was very impressive.
His easy going nature and excellent world knowledge made the trip very comfortable. We did think as it was just ourselves and the guide it could be a little strained. But total opposite. The evening flew by and he even stayed out with us at his own time and expense. Can't recommend this tour enough. If you don't like backstreet local bars this isn't for you. But if your prepared to get out of your comfort zone get on this tour! 👍

Gobustan and Mud volcanoes are must-see when you are in Baku. The tour price is so competitive, Aydan from Baku Trips arranged everything for us, and the driver was familiar with the route very much. Highly recommend!
