I smiled when I saw this blue Kiwi at the park infront of the Cafesjian/Cascade. With the color of blue, while the rest of the sculptures or statues are either in black or brown, it stands out. I wondered how the planners of this attraction decided to include it here: Kiwi from New Zealand, sculptor from USA.

A surprising sculpture was the large kiwi that was at the bottom of the stairway. Alongside this were other statues like leaping horse made of horseshoes.

This review is quite late. Although there are a number of statues at the Cascade Park, the Blue Kiwi Statue differs from the others because it is the only painted statue you can see in the park.

Visiting the impressive "Cafesjian Sculpture Garden" at the "Cascade Complex" in Yerevan, you'll be immediately attracted by the "Kiwi"! The funny and friendly sculpture of the icon bird of New Zealand was - surprisingly - made by an "American" artist! The big blue aluminum sculpture is credited to Peter Woytuk and since 2011 welcomes all visitors to this beautiful park at Yerevan's "Kentron District". Enjoy!

On the approach to the cascade is a park full of remarkable artworks. The smoking woman, a charging horse, a rampant lion, a jumping rabbit, a roman soldier and the Kiwi. They are all fabulous works and speak very clearly to the Armenian love of the arts and their love of fun.

You certainly won't miss this one! It big. It's blue. And it's a kiwi. The bird by the way, not the fruit.
The sculpture park at the Base of the Cascades is a lovely place to spend some time. Kids and families love it but to be fair I think everyone will find something they like here, quite a few pieces I'd wager.
