I visited Targmanchats Church ruins in Aygeshat in June 2015 and it appeared to be under renovation and restoration. There was some equipment strewn about and many of the church's main stones had been removed from the core site and arranged in a way that looked like they were being cataloged for proper preservation. It was not clear to me if they were trying to rebuild the entire church or not. Currently there is little more than a rough shell remaining and I'm not sure this site is worth going out of your way to see. I saw it only because I was on a long bike ride through the village. The Soviet-era information plaque states that this church was built in the 6th-7th century.
