This is a lovely memorial and park found at the very north end of Vahram Papazyan St, where the road ends at the Arabkir Park, overlooking the Hrazdan River Gorge. In Arabkir Park is the Nor Arabkir Memorial Complex which includes a memorial to soldiers from the Arabkir district who were killed in World War II. In the past there was also a cemetery here and today a few graves actually still exist, marked by large khachkars (Armenian gravestones).

I biked to the park at about 9am on a Saturday and found there were about 30 or so people exercising, jogging, and walking in the park. There are a few paths through the park and you could easily walk all of them in 20-30 minutes at the most. On the north side of the park, you have a commanding view of the Hrazdan Gorge and the Davtashen Bridge.

The monument itself is quite impressive, standing about 20 feet tall and architecturally pleasing. There were fountains, however, I visited in March and they were not running. I will revisit in the summer to see if they work.

There is enough room to park your car at the entrance to the park. Or you can get to the park by taking the Yerevan metro to the Barekamutyun stop and walking about 1.9 km to the park.

Arabkir park is a typical park which is known for it's exciting zipline. Zipline passes underneath a bridge! If you are a zipline lover I recommend it. But as a park, you can not find any interesting item around but piece and quiet.

In Arabkir Active Park you can find Zipline and many other activities. Zipline is the only one in the world that passes under a bridge. You can speed up to 120-140km/h experiencing unique and dreamlike moments, as well as a huge dose of adrenalin.
