They are still working to complete the top level but the journey up to the top was worth it. Each stage had something interesting to look at. The view at the top was fabulous.

The architecture and the atmosphere is extra ordinary. You can take your time and go up the stairs and from above experience the awesome view of the city, or use the escalators inside the complex. By the way there's a museum there too.

The overall setting is entertaining and refreshing. Good integration of a museum and generally the indoor spaces. Avoid the midday summer sun to climb the stairs

Yerevan is full of art. No other place does, however, have as many modern art installations as this cascade of stairs. It has 4 levels which are straddled by 560 stairs. The interior of the complex houses the Cafesjian Modern Art Museum and there are escalators available to get to the various galleries and concert halls within the museum. It's... More

The Cascade (Armenian: Կասկադ Kaskad), is a giant stairway in Yerevan, Armenia. It links the downtown Kentron area of Yerevan with the Monument neighborhood. The construction of the cascade designed by architects Jim Torosyan, Aslan Mkhitaryan, Sargis Gurzadyan was launched in 1971 and completed in 1980. Inside the Cascade, underneath the exterior steps are a couple of escalators going the... More

The Cascades in Yerevan is a grandiose stairway with art from all over the world both inside and outside. At the top of the Cascades is a fantastic view of the city and the downstairs area are surrounded by lively (and mostly western) cafes and restaurants. Personally I found the Cascades at bit too bombastic in all its Soviet aesthetics,... More

If you are interested in modern arts it's a place really worth to visit. You can go up with giant stairs from outside and have a nice view of the city and come down from inside the gallery or vice versa. I enjoyed alot
