The entrance fee is affordable and the museum itself would be an interesting place to visit not only for Armenians but also for non-armenians. If you have heard of Anush opera you must visit this museum. One of the halls is equipped with a hologramic feature where the visitor is able to see Hovhannes Tumanyans hologram moving around the room. The women working as guides are very pleasant and will provide you with all the necessary background information.

So much I didn't know about this place and about this great poet/writer. Took our kids ages 6,14, and 17. We asked for a tour guide, and this lady was amazing, explained everything in a way that my 6 year old was totally into it. So much history to cherish and preserve, would definitely recommend especially if you are visiting with children.

Years ago, I dated and fell in love with an Armenian girl called Anushka whose parents had named her from the novel Anush (1890) by Tumanyan and opera of the same name from 1912 by Tigranian, or that’s what they tell me anyway. I have met a fair number of Anushka’s so far in our time in Armenia, it seems to be a fairly popular name. The Hovhannes Tumanyan House Museum is a nice museum, the available guides are excellent and there is lots for everyone to enjoy.

I have honestly became fond of literature and art in Armenia, specially the society of Armenian nobles and sophisticated people at that time. I learn many things about the writer's enthusiasm to Iran. Then, l became excited.

The house where there is the collection of the personal things of one of the best armenian writers. Actually he never lived here. His children lived. So they moved all the items from Tiflis to Yerevan. Here you can see his books, how his room looked liked. Also cartoons and 3D show about him.
