BAREV(Hello!)and a warm welcome to Armenia! I have been a professional licensed tour guide since 2003 and I love it! I studied English philology at Yerevan State University and speak fluent English, Russian and Spanish.Being a guide in an ancient country like Armenia, such an off-the-map destination, has been allowing me to meet the most wonderful people in the world. My tourist are mostly from the USA, Europe and Australia looking for exotic adventures and unique experiences.If you are my guest, make sure you are pampered; you visit the most unique places where a regular tourist doesn't have access, you eat the most delicious food at the most exotic places, you learn everything about Armenia and you have unlimited photo stops and are never rushed. I'm an amateur photographer and I know where to take you so you take the best pictures of your trip!Being the world's first Christian country the landscape of Armenia is dotted by fairy-tale monasteries and churches, ancient castles tucked away in remote secret places. Together we will explore the hidden treasure of Armenia and you will learn more about this country than you could have imagined. During our tours you will meet the locals and socialize with them, and don't be surprised if they invite you into their homes and share their food with you! "A guest is the messenger of God", an Armenian proverb… In Armenia you feel as if you are God because everywhere you are pampered if you are a guest.With me you will feel the authentic spirit and colors of Armenia.I'm very passionate about what I do. I'm full of energy, enthusiasm and have a good sense of humor. There will be a lot of fun, jokes, adventures… simply a trip you will never forget! The most important thing for me is to see your happy faces and your smile.As for transportation I have a Hyundai sedan and a new Hyundai H1 deluxe minivan (8seats), year 2013. We had the best week with Mariam and her driver Samuel. She put together an excellent itinerary that was tailored to our specific interests including the perfect mix of key historical sites, nature and hiking, and food and wine. Mariam took care of us like family - we didn’t have to worry about a thing and every detail was taken care of. The spots Mariam took us to for food were excellent and unique local spots. She also would frequently provide us with samples of local fruits and coffee.
The tour covered all the important spots to visit in Armenia, including some very unique and off the beaten path spots. Mariam was always working to ensure we had the best experience and was flexible with the schedule. On the day we were supposed to visit the Tatev Monastery via the cable car, she had looked ahead at the weather and knew it was going to rain. She rescheduled the itinerary so that we went before the rain started so that we were able to enjoy the stunning mountain views. We saw other groups being stuck in the rain with the clouds covering the views the next day and were so grateful that we had Mariam to take care of everything.
Mariam is also incredibly knowledgeable of the Armenian history and the details and stories associated with each spot we went to. We loved listening to her storytelling and learned so much from her.
We had the best experience with Mariam and strongly recommend touring with her if you want the best experience of Armenia!

My wife and I spent 11 days on a private tour of Armenia with Mariam and our driver Karo. We enjoy private tours because it allows us the ability to customize our trips, change on the fly, if need be, and ride in comfortable vehicles. From the get-go when I contacted Mariam, the communication was excellent and timely despite a 9-hour time difference. We enjoy history, cultural experiences, and the natural beauty a place has to offer. We worked together on an itinerary and trip during late April/early May before the weather turned exceedingly hot.
The whole experience exceeded our expectations. We felt like premium clients and were treated extraordinarily well by Mariam. Besides having a great personality that is fun and caring, Mariam is a walking knowledge vault not only providing history but sharing cultural incites of Armenia. She is also an avid hiker guide and wine guide, so we got the complete package and then some. We wanted to meet other Armenians during our travels, and she did not disappoint. Her connections are vast, and we met so many delightful people, ate wonderful foods, drank excellent wine, learned so much about Armenia, and did a bit of getting close to nature. We can’t say enough except that she created a memory that will stay with us forever.
Be aware that her services are in demand so plan accordingly. There is only one of Mariam and we were thrilled that she was our private guide who we can now call our friend. If you are planning any trip to Armenia, you should definitely contact her.

Our family of 4 ppl (kids 8 and 6 y.o.) spent fantastic 2 days in tour with Mariam. Gorgeous Khor Virap, Tatev and Noravank monasteries. The most beautiful places that we saw ever. Mariam told us the facts and history that impossible to find just by googling. The tour was in good condition car, the roads between Yerevan and south Armenia are in good conditions and the driver was driving very safe. We will be back to Mariam next time to see other gorgeous places of Armenia.

Mariam and team (Noor) did an amazing job showing what Armenia so special. Highly personable and able to tailor tours to your liking. Would highly recommend and definitely makes me want to come back to Armenia! Only scratched the surface but I know I'll be back and I'll contact them when I do!

I can not express how magical my 3 day maiden voyage to my ancestral homeland was thanks to Mariam and her trusty colleague Nour. I don't know anyone in Armenia but had an opportunity to make a quick stop over in between work trips. I googled tour guides and found Mariam's excellent trip advisor reviews and read her website and emailed her right away.

My daughter and I had the best experience with Mariam Ghazarian as our tour guide recently. She was very professional, knowledgeable with a fascinating sharp memory of the ancient history of Armenia to it's Kingdoms and today's modern Armenia. She had a strong communication skills and was personable. Mariam was very accommodating to our needs, the first day she came to pick us up in a very comfortable, large sports car, she had us continue our tour in an SUV when she noticed I was suffering with fibromyalgia pain, so I could recline my chair and be more comfortable. The restaurants Mariam took us all had delicious food with great atmosphere. She was fluent in English language which was necessary for my daughter to understand. Thank you Mariam and Caucasus Tour for the wonderful and happiest experience in our Motherland.

We have been in correspondaence with Mariam and she turned out to be extremely rude and unprofesstional. She showed a highly aggressive and offensive attitude when informed her that we have chosen an alternative offer with another tour operator, knowing that we never confirmed a booking with her in the first place! So glad we didnt go for a tour with Mariam, with such an attitude and understanding of customer service we are really lucky!

I'm unpleasantly surprised to see such a review from a person who I don't know and have not been in correspondence with. I'm even more surprise to see TripAdvisor allowing this review to be posted. I really wonder who you are with so much hatred in order to write your first Tripadvisor review ever about me to mention me as a rude person without any proof. It's very suspicious. I have traveled to so many countries and have joined so many tours and I can definitely say that Mariam' tour is the best of them all. She offered great tours which were very interesting and the pacing was just perfect. There was a great balance between explaining the history of a particular place and letting us enjoy the sights on our own. She is always on time but also flexible in terms of the schedule thinking about what is best for us. She loves her job and it shows in her enthusiasm in her tours. She is very accommodating even if it meant going out of her way and spending more time with us than necessary. We felt really taken care of so thanks very much Mariam!

We are a family of four (with 2 kids) and we booked a 3 day tour with Mariam, and her driver, Levon, in the first week of April.
Mariam is very knowledgeable about everything and anything about her country and so the entire trip made us learn more about Armenia. She was always on time and gave us daily advice on what to wear, what the weather would be like, and made sure we were dressed appropriately for the day's weather. She would really take good care of her guests as she would have extra pashmina (which I borrowed), medicines, and little things ready in case any of her guests would need them.
Mariam is also flexible and adjusted our itinerary based on how much we can do for each day. As we were travelling with an impatient, super silly 4 year old, she made sure our itinerary for each day was not too exhausting. She was very patient with my kid and look after him like her own. In fact, after 3 days of being with Mariam my son acted like he’s known Mariam for a long time.
Mariam made sure we were on every site at the best time of the day. She knew the best place to take photos and became not only our tour guide but official photographer. Mariam gave us extras like wine tasting, Armenian sweets, and a lot more of surprises! Oh not to forget that she was able to talk to the caretakers at Garni even after closing time so we had the place exclusively for our family during the Golden hour! Thank you Mariam!
Mariam also arranged for our lunches (for extra cost) but all worth it as we were treated to authentic Armenian cuisine. It turned out to be a wise decision as it saved us a lot of time. Mariam called the restaurants ahead of time and the food would be ready when we got there. Lovely and super tasty Armenian food!!!
Mariam and her driver are more than professional. They welcome visitors like families. Added touch was bottled water was provided to us for the trip. We felt safe all throughout the tour. Mariam gave us little tips (i.e. where to exchange dollars to drams, good restau, etc.) that were important for first time visitors in the county.
I will only have positive feedbacks for Mariam. I will surely get in touch with her if my family decides to go back to Armenia.
