Private tour to Tatev Monastery, Khndzoresk - swinging bridge

Enjoy the beauty and discover miracles of Armenia! One of the masterpieces of medieval Armenian architecture is the Tatev monastery. It is located on a hill which is surrounded on three sides by deep chasms, and it can only be reached from the north. You are welcome to explore the cave system, but a trip across the gorge is not for the faint of heart. However, making the trip a bit easier if no less harrowing, is a 160-meter long suspension bridge that was built using nothing more than local funds and labor in 2012. The new bridge connects Old Khndzoresk and New Khndzoresk, the modern village, bridging Armenia’s history with the present day both figuratively and literally.

In July 2019, my family and I hired a one day tour with Jan Armenia Tours & Travel. Lusine, who is extremely gentle and capable, helped us. In just a few minutes she was able to understand our interests and put together a custom-made tour which allowed us to get to know the best attractions and spots in the city in a very agile way. We had a great day thanks to the great work of Lusine. I highly recommend Jan Armenia Tours & Travel.

I have been in Armenia last month. Amazing people, nice country, tasty dishes, beautiful monasteries and churches. I joined a group for the tour to Garni temple, Geghard monastery and Lake Sevan. The guide was very knowledgeable and clever girl and the driver was driving safely. These are very important for me. And the gastronomic part of the tour was also very tasty. We had masterclasses of armenian lavash, shujukh (if I am right), gata, fish and Armenian famous barbeque. I liked the the tour a lot. Thanks to organizators!!!
