We just came back from an amazing day in lake Sevan and surrondings. Our guide Nelly was truly memorable being the perfect companion on this trip. The explanations were perfect and the lunch with a local family was really good and tasty. Only sad thing is not able to do more tours with Nelly and explore the beautiful sorroundings of Armenia. Definitely a come back if we have the chance to.

We took two tours with Envoy - Enlinking Caucasus and Enlightened Armenia in October 2019. We thoroughly enjoyed the tours, thanks to the excellent guide Sushan with her remarkable knowledge of local history, her sense of humour and a very professional approach. Both tours were well planned, including the visits to the village homes and the lunches there. We are pleased to recommend Envoy to all travellers to Armenia.

This tour was a highlight of our trip. Angela did an amazing job as a tour guide! She is extremely knowledgeable and also makes the expedition to Tbilisi a lot a fun! Beautiful countryside, history made interesting, and a lot of good interaction are just a few things that made this trip well worth the bargain-we even got to eat at a local home for a lavish lunch.

I heard about envoy tours on the TripAdvisor forum, and my advisor really did me a favour! Not only could I book my trips in advance of my arrival in Yerevan, but the communication, detail, offer of tours, and quality of the guides were excellent! I only had 5 days to visit as much as possible of the country, and Envoy have this mission perfectioned. On arrival on the sunday afternoon, my tours were confirmed by the excellent reception staff (perfect english spoken, thankyou Sonja!). I was on a full day tour on monday with Shoushan (Essential Armenia), Tuesday my day off to explore lovely Yerevan! Wednesday and Thursday was a 2-day trip (Enticing Armenia), Arpine took a small group of us far across the country explaining everything and stopping everywhere (even places not on the itinerary), and Friday Shoushan accompanied several of us to Tbilisi for a full day guided trip to Georgia, where we were very conveniently left in the city centre. I must say here that both Shoushan and Arpine were not only professional, knowledgeable and very interesting, but both women are a tribute to their country and their company, they were excellent guides and obviously both love their work and have a genuine interest in their tourists. Thanks to them, the many many fantastic places, churches, monastries, villages and everywhere we visited, came to life and we had a wonderful insight into the past of this very beautiful country. The other important mention is that although the Envoy tours may be slightly more expensive than their competitors, you are guaranteed to have a far better experience, not only because of the fabulous food you will eat at the local peoples homes that you visit. this is actually one of the highlights of the tours, which was not boasted about in the brochure, but each of us appreciated immensely the quality of the lunches we were given - absolutely nothing to do with a 'restaurant stop', but we had a feast of local and traditional food, prepared for us in a person's home, with huge quantities of fresh vegetables, salads, meats and deliciously prepared recipes, followed by fruits, coffee/tea and sweets... we were amazed every time, and it was a great way to discover the hidden jewels of the country! The other reason to prefer Envoy to their competitors was the time spent in each place visited. We had unlimited time stops, additional trips added to the normal program, and nobody was hurried if they wanted extra time anywhere. the guides and drivers did far more than their normal day's work, and they are well known by all the locals who love seeing them each week. we were delivered safely back to the hostel at the end of each day knowing we couldn't have had a better tour. THANKYOU!!

I mentioned Envoy Tours to a fellow traveller on an excusrion in Georgia. She said that hostel tours are usually a cut above the rest; thinking back on my experience with Envoy, I had to agree -- but maybe I was just lucky to have Shoshan on both trips. She is a delight; smart, knowledgeable and very wise beyond her young years. Great English too. She was very generous both with information about the sites we were visiting, but also with her personal experiences and outlook. The tour took us to a couple of monasteries, a cemetery and a pagan temple. Great landscapes, architecture, and food. Envoy even stopped along the road so we could get out and take photos of a flock of sheep :-) The next day I was thrilled to have Shoshan on the tour to Tbilisi -- I asked her a few "tough" questions I'd thought of the night before, but she answered them with total honesty and grace. I wish her tons of success in everything she chooses to undertake.
