Saint Mesrop Mashtots and Koryun
Dec 2016 • Business
This monument is located right in between the stairways leading to the scientific center of ancient manuscripts named after famous Armenian linguist and theologian Mesrop Mashtots. And the statue is facing to the Avenue named after him. Saint Mesrop Mashtots, the inventor of Armenia Alphabet in 405, is pictured with Armenian Alphabet and his fellow, biographer and historian Koryun beside him. When you are there, make sure to also visit Matenadaran and get in touch with history through the books of different centuries and nations.

Famous Statue of an Armenian Monk & Inventor of the Armenian Alphabet
Oct 2015 • Solo
Saint Mesrop Mashtots is more famous for his invention of the Armenian Alphabet. His statue is located just outside the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscript in Yerevan City. This provides an excellent photo opportunity for tourists and locals alike.
