Seller swindled me , and hit us
Feb 2020 • Friends
I recommend you don't go to Nha trang Dam market.

Today I was defrauded. in Nha Trang.
I bought a hat at a shop in the market.
The original value of the hat is 11 yuan. But I mIsjudged the money and paid 150 yuan.
So I asked the merchants to pay back the money, but she ignored me and I didn't change our money.
We can 't speak Vietnamese and businessmen can 't speak English.
So the businessmen have been talking to me in Vietnam.
At last she hit us, and my friend's arm was injured.
Obviously, it's an act of violence.
No one here helps foreigners.
Although Vietnam price is cheaper but it is even more expensive than China and Korea .
This behavior is not only to Koreans but also to ignore and mock foreigners.
Many people wished to know about it

I really wish more people saw my article and don't go to the market.

Looking for leather goods
Mar 2020
Overall not a great market compared to others I have visited in Vietnam. However, there were a few places selling excellent leather and silk products so we ended up spending a few Dong.

A must go to buy your clothes and souvenirs
Mar 2020 • Couples
This is the cheapest market for tourist to get their stuff and souvenirs compare to other market. About 2 km from city center. Caters mainly for locals and tourist. They quote double the price for tourist. Bargain hard. Bargain 50% - 60% from the price they quote you. (Example: if they quote you VD200,000, then pay not more than VD100,000). Advise to tourist: bargain hard and buy all your stuff here. Better prices here compare to the city centre night market.

Dam Market inside yes! Outside NO!
Jan 2020
The traders tightly packed and some become even agressif if you ask a price and don’t bye it after. Because of the Coronavirus it’s was quiet.
Inside was not bad specially the fashion fabric at second floor. More less all the sales items from one packed to the other one.
OUTSIDE WAS VERY DIRTY AND WE TURN AROUND AND LEFT.

Better than expected
Feb 2020 • Couples
We read a lot of negative reviews about Dam market but thought we would see for ourselves what it had to offer and we were quite surprised. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was quiet the stalls were spaced out so it was comfortable to get around. We bought sunglasses for half the price initially proposed and various fruits and drinks at a reasonable price after some intense haggling. We went through the area selling dried fish which was almost deserted before we got to fruit and fish sellers. It was good to be able to select the fruit to prevent being sold over ripe produce. Overall an interesting experience.

Typical Market
Jan 2020 • Friends
Yes this is a typical market the world over and you should think this when entering. It is traditional and does show its age but I think that is what gives it character.
You have to barter and stick to what you want to pay and no more - you will get your price if it is reasonable and sensible.
Worth a look here.

Dam market

Seen better days, traders tightly packed in but some bargains can be had. The night market has the same stuff but is better laid out with an overwhelming buzz. Enjoyed haggling to achieve a happy price.

Jacked up prices
Jan 2020
Not sure if local people actually shop here or if it's just for tourists. Poor signages for the toilets (no straight line, path winds through the stalls) and not particularly clean. Door latches mostly not working too! We bought 1kg artichoke tea paste - price started from VND800k and we finally got it down to VND600k. Not cheap, but we couldn't find it anywhere else. Also managed to find the banana crackers I wanted. Again, quite pricey.

congested place ...
Jan 2020
The stalls are small and crammed into 2 levels inside this building. If you haggle hard, you will get great bargains.

These types of markets are all over Vietnam, and while I am sure that there would be bargains, I just had a quick look. All sorts of goods for sale. Food also outside
