Rented a Yamaha XT250 for a week. They dropped it off and picked it back up at my hotel. I initially had a lighter bike and was able to change it. A text message was all that was needed to extend my rental. Great service, super friendly.

Amazing Snorkeling at Mun Island ( Small Group ) - this was how our trip was presented. What actually happened. We were picked up from our Hotel in a mid-sized bus that held about 40 fellow tourists. Mr Ba, the tour leader, did explain to us that as there were few foreign tourists we would be lumped together with a much larger group of local tourists and the total program changed. We left the main pier departure point in a speed boat (as opposed to a relaxed timber leisure craft as depicted in the TripAdvisor flyer) with approximately 50 other passengers. Our first stop was at a floating restaurant to drop off a tour guide (this turned out to be our lunch place later in the day); second stop was at another pier where the scuba-diving tourists were transferred to another boat, and after about 20 minutes we finally arrived at Mun Island. Mr Ba provided us with good quality snorkeling equipment (mask and snorkel) and directed us to the miniscule snorkelling area. Mr Ba also provided my wife with some tips on snorkeling (this was her first time) and he also showed us where the best spots to view coral and tropical fish could be found. In all we spent about 30 minutes in the water. The variety of fish we saw and snorkeled amongst was great; the coral not so great. We then sat on the beach for a further 20 minutes and that was the end off our snorkeling! According to the advertised schedule we were then expecting a trip and further snorkeling to Mot Island, and enjoy lunch and a fruit party relaxing with our "small group" on our wooden boat. This was not to be. Instead, we picked up the first set of divers from earlier in the trip and headed to the aforementioned "floating restaurant" for a voluminous but mediocre lunch. After about an hour in cramped seating we were then transported to Crystal island where we were marooned for 2 hours to enjoy another miniscule swimming beach. Nothing to snorkel at, although we did retain our snorkeling kit. We arrived back at the original pier around 3pm and were then dropped off at our hotel. So what was good about the trip? Mr Ba, who was helpful in all aspects, and apologetic about the change in itinerary. He explained this was due to lack of "foreign tourists" and we had to endure a more "localised" event. The snorkeling at Mun Island was worthwhile, but we were expecting additional snorkelling opportunities. What was not so good? The size of the group; The type of transportation; The lack of snorkeling activities; The lunch in the floating restaurant; The lack of relaxation (see the picture above); and The blatant switch and sell!
