This is probably the most fun waterfall to visit in Vietnam though parts of it are not for the faint of heart! I see that many people have booked tours to this place but we just hired a driver for the day and set an itinerary. It worked out quite well. Ba Ho waterfall is really a park with a series of waterfalls, pools and a river for swimming, playing, picnicking and even bungalows to stay over. The park is really suffering from the lack of tourism in the area and from the fact that it's a bit distant from the center of town meaning that people won't just stumble on it without some effort. But DO MAKE THE EFFORT. It's totally worth it.

There are absolutely different difficultly levels in the different areas. The lowest level is great for kids. I think kids and less than very fit people can probably make it to the first pool at the base of the first waterfall you reach along the trail. After that, there's a lot of climbing and not steps...climbing - scrambling with ropes and iron steps and bars drilled into the rock. It's INTENSE. This is the sort of place that would have you sign a waiver, wear PPE or - just not be allowed in many parts of the world. But, we climbed all the way to the top of the marked path through the rocks and swam in all of the pools. It's all very tranquil right now since there are so few customers.

But, while Nha Trang is certainly known for its beaches, this is really a top attraction.

We arrived at Ba Ho waterfalls around lunch time so my partner and I first headed to the nearest restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised with the affordability and quality of food. Once we had finished our lunch we decided to make our way up to see the waterfalls and the 3 lakes that were looking forward to swimming in. We noticed that you could take a buggy up part of the way for a small fee but we decided against it and to instead walk the whole way. In hindsight if you did require the buggy to get you up to about the half way point of the walk then you probably won't be up for what is to come. Along this initial part of the walk are quirky craft displays and sercet gardens that you can explore with great photo opportunities. This section of the walk is relatively flat and most people with a basic level of fitness would have no issues.
Once we arrived at the base of the waterfalls the walk soon turned into a climb in some sections. The arrows on the rocks guided us from one waterfall and lake to the next. If you are not that confident once you have made it to the first waterfall I would recommend you do not go further as each waterfall becomes progressively more challenging the reach. We were lucky enough to swim at the bottom of all 3 waterfalls. There were a number of other tourists however it was definitely not too crowded to enjoy. While you are there you will also notice the many fish in the water who will gently nip your feet as they eat away the dead skin.

Once we were finished enjoying the waterfalls we made our way to the watersports area where you could kayak, zorb, stand-up paddle board, water bike, swim in the pool and play on their inflatable obstacle course (which was lots of fun).

I would definitely recommend visiting Ba Ho waterfalls and even spending the day there is so much to do at such an affordable price. This was the favorite thing my partner and I did which staying in Nha Trang.

When I reached the rocks here today, I realized that I had been here before about thirty five years previous, when, as a relatively young(er) man, I hopped from rock to rock with reckless exuberance.
Now, unfortunately, as a septuagenarian, I found it a touch trickier!
We (mum, dad and 9 year old daughter) went there by motorbike, and the journey (on the main Saigon to Hanoi carriageway) is surprisingly pleasant with lovely vistas of the bay, and it took maybe forty minutes from Nha Trang, the turn-off to the waterfall being easy to find.
Parked up, it costs 100,000 Dong to enter, and there is about a kilometre of pleasant shaded walk (and photo shots) to get to the beginning of the falls, which are divided into three separates small 'lakes', where you can swim and refresh yourself in the gelid water.
We only did the first two.
As mentioned it maybe a tough climb for some, but it's worth it. Available, too, are several drink stops, a restaurant with a swimming pool, and an area where you can canoe, pedalo, bouncy water castle (included in the admittance price)..whatever turns you on.
Worth going?
Yes.....

That’s a awesome place!
The area includes a nice path to the waterfalls, the waterfalls themselves, cafe, bungalows, some food stands, a swimming pool, water activities, bathrooms. It’s all very well kept and nice to be in.

The entrance fee is 100.000 dong and for this you get to enter the waterfalls area and to the swimming pool and do water activities.

The waterfalls are beautiful, there are 3 areas they call “lakes”, make sure to make it to the last one. The all are great though.

The water activities include SUP boards, zorb, kayak , catamaran. You can also swim in the swimming pool and lay on one of the hammocks. So if you have spare time this would be a nice area to chill.

We got here before 8 and there were security guys who won’t let us in because the tickets office wasn’t open yet. So come at 8 - there might be tour groups coming.

The good here is a bit expensive so better come after having food somewhere else

We went here on a scooter it was very easy to find as it’s sign posted on the motorway. If you do not like the idea of a scooter there is a bus that takes you there or you can do a half day trip via a tour operator.

It a very well presented tourist resort and well worth a visit. Some great places to take photos and lots to do, canoeing, hiking and of course cliff jumping. I think cliff jumping is a bit of an exaggeration as it not very high at all, but its fun.
Getting to the 3rd lake is a bit of fun, I am 56 and my partner is 62 and not fit at all but he enjoyed the challenge. Make sure you wear good trainers, that is so important and bring a towel, water, food and any other drink you can get there, it’s not expensive.

What we did was go up through the rocks and then came down using the exit for going to higher ground if it rains which was easier than clambering back down over the rocks. The exit is at the 3 rd lake behind where you jump.

Only about 30 mins from Nha Trang city center and we found ourselves in peaceful greenery. The park was not overcrowded and is a good escape from the large tourist groups, and honking cars.

Must say it was well kept, clean and with many picturesque spots. The staff assisting with water sports were helpful, and I enjoyed simply drifting along the river.

We had done the trek first before water sports. The trail is well marked. The first part of the trek has a nice pavement and well shaded. Then the ‘harder’ part starts. Reached the first lake and had a refreshing cool dip. Felt good to take in nature and all that comes with it during my short break from the city.

So so cool. It is a walk to get there but it is manageable for any mobile person (only thing is it could be hard on joints). The hike is actually super fun & was actually one of my favourite parts. We went early (at 9am ish) & it was pretty quite. Would recommend good footwear as there is some climbing involved eg: we wore out hiking sandals (teevas) and they worked well. If you’re not super fit, you don’t have to go to the 3rd waterfall as the 2nd waterfall is just as beautiful.

So first bit is lovely walk and fun. Then you get to lake 1, easy, climb over giant boulders but soon realise this isn't it. To get to lake 2 it's a real hike and then even more so to get to lake 3. I couldn't believe people had made it in flip flops or even managed with a tiny child. Soooo dangerous. 3 times I said I cant do it and I'm very fit and sporty. I'm so glad I continued but bear in mind same way back. I had to go on my bum some of the way and again really struggled but it felt amazing when done. We spent 3 hours including a little go on the water activities. Great day. Taxi from nha trang was just over 500,000 each way then 150,000 to wait for us.

Have a lot of cafe, swimming pool, decor and design area. 3 lakes. Easy for people who have in life tracking in mountains. If you wanna see nature in Vietnam visiting that place. Also you can used catamaran, sup board, kayak and more.

Back when this place was 50k VND, it was an okay value, but with the 100k entrance price there are better sights around Nha Trang. The hike is nice, but waterfalls are nothing special to look at or photograph. Good for jumping into water though.
