This is probably the most fun waterfall to visit in Vietnam though parts of it are not for the faint of heart! I see that many people have booked tours to this place but we just hired a driver for the day and set an itinerary. It worked out quite well. Ba Ho waterfall is really a park with a series of waterfalls, pools and a river for swimming, playing, picnicking and even bungalows to stay over. The park is really suffering from the lack of tourism in the area and from the fact that it's a bit distant from the center of town meaning that people won't just stumble on it without some effort. But DO MAKE THE EFFORT. It's totally worth it. There are absolutely different difficultly levels in the different areas. The lowest level is great for kids. I think kids and less than very fit people can probably make it to the first pool at the base of the first waterfall you reach along the trail. After that, there's a lot of climbing and not steps...climbing - scrambling with ropes and iron steps and bars drilled into the rock. It's INTENSE. This is the sort of place that would have you sign a waiver, wear PPE or - just not be allowed in many parts of the world. But, we climbed all the way to the top of the marked path through the rocks and swam in all of the pools. It's all very tranquil right now since there are so few customers. But, while Nha Trang is certainly known for its beaches, this is really a top attraction.

Booked a trip with Vitamin Sea Travel and was picked up at our hotel in a new 7 seat sedan by Mr John and his driver around 8.40. John advised that we had another passenger to pick-up (which was a surprise) and we spent another 20 minutes driving around Nha Trang looking for Tom. We were finally on our way to Ba Ho Waterfall around 9! It took a forty minute drive to get there and then our real journey started. He had an easy walk of about 15 minutes from the entry up to the start of the 3 lake waterfall climb. I must admit that we were in the dry season and it was evident all around Nha Trang that it was extremely dry and there had not been rain for a long time (apart from the day we arrived 2 days before)! I must say that the concept of 3 lakes is a total misnomer; it was safe to say, from this visit, that there were 3 small natural water pools making up the waterfall complex. However, the climb from Lake 1 to Lake 3 was quite steep and for someone expecting a leisurely stroll was quite surprising. The trail was well marked and included support ropes and other climbing aids (metal hand and footholds) which assisted the climb. Getting to Lake 2 was a bit more difficult and to Lake 3 was much more difficult. You really need to wear solid walking or sports shoes to complete the trek. We reached Lake 3 after about 30 minutes and there we were able to have a swim. The highlight being nibbled on by small fish at no extra charge! The walk back was obviously “all down hill” and a lot quicker. However, I was left to wonder “where were the waterfalls”? As mentioned at the start it was the dry season but the impressive waterfalls displayed in the promo-photos were non-existent. The Ba Ho complex itself is well-managed, kept clean and tidy, and provide food and beverage availability, toilet and shower facilities, and a nice and well equipped swimming lagoon at the entry. My daughter asked me to mentioned the various swings located at strategic spots along the trek. We were there for about 2 1/2 hours and were quite hungry when we hit the road back to town. John took us to a small local restaurant where we enjoyed noodles with fish cakes and pork knuckle accompanied by cold tea. Our trip finished with a 30 minute foot massage performed by blind masseurs. Cost for the entire trip cost VND700k/head (approx $30).

That’s a awesome place! The area includes a nice path to the waterfalls, the waterfalls themselves, cafe, bungalows, some food stands, a swimming pool, water activities, bathrooms. It’s all very well kept and nice to be in. The entrance fee is 100.000 dong and for this you get to enter the waterfalls area and to the swimming pool and do water activities. The waterfalls are beautiful, there are 3 areas they call “lakes”, make sure to make it to the last one. The all are great though. The water activities include SUP boards, zorb, kayak , catamaran. You can also swim in the swimming pool and lay on one of the hammocks. So if you have spare time this would be a nice area to chill. We got here before 8 and there were security guys who won’t let us in because the tickets office wasn’t open yet. So come at 8 - there might be tour groups coming. The good here is a bit expensive so better come after having food somewhere else

Back when this place was 50k VND, it was an okay value, but with the 100k entrance price there are better sights around Nha Trang. The hike is nice, but waterfalls are nothing special to look at or photograph. Good for jumping into water though.
