We saw this place advertised as one of the best shopping experiences in Nha Trang so we went and had a look. The embroidery was superb and some pieces like a vase of flowers seemed 3D. The portraits were amazing such fine detail. The prices reflected the work and were generally expensive. We wondered who bought this art but then read that it was a destination for cruise ships tours so I guess that's the answer but worth a visit to appreciate the beauty of the products and to purchase if you have that sort of money being priced in dollars should give a clue.

We visited this shop during a cruise excursion in January . They have some amazing pictures to see and it’s so nice to see the ladies doing the embroidery . Lovely cuts of material beautiful embroidered pictures, and many items you can buy .Staff are so friendly and helpful . I bought an embroidered picture which was framed. The staff packed it in bubble wrap and cardboard so it was easy to carry as hand luggage on the flight home and now takes pride of place in my dinning room .

Sadly the items are also incredibly expensive and the clothing would only fit Vietnamese people otherwise they might have made some sales. Few from our cruise are USA size 0 or 2 which was the sizing of the dresses. Beautiful but far too tiny. Worth going to watch how they this though.

I was there at about 8.30pm on my second night in Nha Trang, I took my baby in the stroller and shopped for the different patterns of beautiful handmade products.

The products were really impressed, however, one lady in long dress came and said like a shout to me YOU and YOUR STROLLER ARE BLOGGING the way and noone can come in and out. Saidly, it is nearly 9pm and there was hardly anyone walking in the shop. The very rude attitude that I could barely stand.

I would never come back and never recommend this to my friends.

I am so appalled at the way I was treated here tonight.
My wife and I visited yesterday and were quite taken by the work. We only looked at the bottom floor and planned to return tonight to see the top and decide on some purchases.
When I arrived I revisited some of my favourite pieces before attempting to go upstairs before making my decision/s on what to buy. As I got to the stairs I smiled at the lady standing there and she scowled back. Then I tried to walk up the stairs and was met with a loud "NO!". I couldn't understand why she wouldn't let me up there as I'd just seen others ascend and there was clearly more art up there. I asked why and after looking me up and down like I was a piece of dirt she simply replied with a disdainful "I dont know". I didnt want to cause a scene and press the issue, but I was appaled at her rudeness and wouldn't ever return. If it was a dress code issue (I was wearing thongs) I suggest putting a sign up or at least be polite about enforcing it.
Business wise I suggest that woman fixes her attitude because it's bad for business and tonight XQ missed out on a lot of money because of that rude woman.

If you are not interested in exquisite hand made creations, please do not come here. There are some pre-made items which we didn't spend time looking at. We stumbled immediately into the back rooms of the gallery which are filled with framed, embroidered works of art. Most of these are hung in tiers along the walls. Generally the larger and more amazing items are higher up on the walls with standard, stock items (no less exquisite) hung below. There are a great more or less stock pieces with one of a kind pieces mounted above. The items range from dozens of scenes of boughs of cherry and lotus blossoms to full-blown landscape murals that truly must be seen to be believed. There are also a small number of what I'd call screens, two-sided embroidery mounted in free standing frames, view-able from the back and the front. Some of these I personally found jaw-droppingly amazing. There are many museum quality items to be viewed here. It's hard to believe that this art has survived and is apparently flourishing for the moment. If you are not interested in art, please do not come here. I'm sorry to say that we were so overcome with the beauty that we actually missed the craft people working on the second floor. You can wander around at your leisure and the staff is available if you would like to purchase something. Despite all the beauty on display, is not a museum, the items are all for sale, a look will cost you nothing and you can probably be finished in 15 or 20 minutes. It's probably not a spot to bring young children, but my late teenagers were as transfixed as I was. If I ever find myself back in Vietnam I will certainly seek out XQ Embroidery.

It's not really worth a visit, but if you have never had exposure to Asian crafts or a Chinatown somewhere, you might find it interesting. If you go, be sure to visit between the hordes of people transported from the cruise ships. 40-50 people at a time shuffle through the store and then they clog the sidewalk as they wait for a bus or go next door to get ice cream. It's not their fault, but it's pretty annoying.

Prepare to spend time in this ‘village’ which showcases the history, artistry and creativity of Vietnamese embroidery. Exquisite embroidery on clothing and in pictures are displayed in a heritage village. A must see to appreciate this type of Vietnamese art.

XQ embroidery is just beautiful. We started collecting pieces on our last trip to Vietnam 2 years ago and looked for more at every stop during this trip. There are outlets at some airports and stores in major cities, but this centre in Nha Trang is the best, an amazing showcase of their high-quality embroidery, where you can see their work being done (which is also possible at most other outlets) but where you can also view the most extensive range we found in our visits to different outlets. Their standards are excellent... the alternatives at markets, other local shops, etc, come nowhere near. Pieces are based on patterns so may be duplicated, as opposed to 'one-off' artworks, but the work is of a particularly excellent standard and the patterns do change over time. Those we bought on our last trip are no longer available. Worth a visit, even if you're not intending to purchase. We did find the service better here than at other centres, eg, Hanoi

XQ is the best hand embroidery in the world, sadly none know much about them. Knowing the world most important person has come to this place without the help of government is a proof they are indeed very good.

I work in a fashion industry and seeing embroidery is like normal. I even owned quite a numbers of embroidery and fabric art piece that I hanged on my wall. I said to the owner, but I didnt get it from VN, then she said the quality will be very different.

I also often get complimented with what my embroidery collection when I have a guests. Then I went home and see my collection, I realize mine is far from what XQ made. the detailing, the 3d effect, the story line, its very very amazing.

its not cheap, even the small piece. but if you have a heart of textiles and art, do drop by. They are very nice, not stingy over how you make it, and its trully beautiful. It's a free admission, you doesnt really need to buy tour to reach here. They also have alot of branch gallery in every VN city.
