Frédéric is a very good instructor. He is attentive to any question and need. Thanks to him, I succeeded in getting my Open Water Diver with a lot of pleasure.
Pour les francophones, c'est LE centre de plongée à faire à Nha Trang.

I had the most incredible diving experience with Angel Dive. The staff is excellent! The owners, Frederic and Joelia, are so kind and helpful. They also provided my hotel stay at their lovely guest house. Nguyen Thai is superb and took care of all of my needs on my dives and made sure that I left with wonderful memories to cherish forever. I will return and dive with this amazing group and I highly recommend Angle Dive for novice to advance divers who are looking for an awesome adventure!

I have traveled all over Asia and been diving close to everywhere its possible. I have walked in to many different dive shops, and I can see their eyes have counted money! After I had checked out some dive centers in Nah Trang - I walked into Angel Dive. The first thing I met, was to eyes that shoved me one thing - Passion for the ocean! And after completing my rescue program - I have not thought of one mistake Angel Dive did, or any thing they could have done to make it an bigger and better experience than they already did! This is definitely a company that I will recommend for those that love diving and want to go on an fun dive (or get higher certified) with a company that wants the same thing!

Takk, from Norway!

We did this day trip in October and based on the reviews, we were expecting it to be fantastic. We did the snorkeling option, which cost a mere $18 USD each. I think if you were doing this as a dive trip it would be great. The first time divers on our trip seemed to have a fantastic time and received a lot of attention from the instructors. As snorkellers we felt a bit like second class citizens. No information was provided to us until we stopped at the dive location and one of the instructors said ok get in the water and go snorkeling. I wouldn't recommend this if you have never snorkeled before as you won't receive much/any attention from the staff.

The snorkeling was ok, there were lots of colourful tropical fish, though the coral wasn't as colourful as I expected. The visibility was pretty good. However the experience was pretty much ruined by something (jellyfish/sea lice/?) in the water that were constantly stinging us. This didn't hurt a lot, it was just a quick sting, but it resulted in a lot of bites all over. I ended up with more than twenty bites on one forearm alone. So definitely ask the staff for a wet suit.

My fiancee and I and a British couple were the only snorkelers on our trip and we all experienced the same problem. When we mentioned it to the instructors they barely acknowledged us and weren't even able to tell us what in the water was hurting us. They didn't seem to understand that it totally ruined the experience. I think we were only actually in the water for about half an hour at each diving site, because it was so unpleasant. I understand that it's not their fault there were jellyfish or whatever, but it
would have been nice if they'd warned us prior, or given us some advice on how to avoid it, or suggested that we wear wet suits.

Food was provided on board, but it was pretty basic. One of the other dive providers I've seen on trip advisor looks like they provide a much better meal! We were also taken to lunch when we arrived back in Nha Trang, but again it was pretty basic. It felt a bit weird being in a strangers house/office having lunch.

I would recommend Angel Dive for divers. I suggest snorkellers look for a company that just does snorkeling if you want to get any attention from staff. Despite this the staff were all friendly and very laid back.

First and foremost I chose Angel Dive on a whim. The sign out front says they speak Vietnamese, English, French, Russian, and German. I started off going on a Discover Scuba Dive (DSD). I've done this sort of thing multiple times before, because it's an easy way to dive on vacation for a couple of dives to see the local aquatic life. On the first day, I did two dives with Kevin and Song Tao, both employees at Angel Dive. Kevin is a Frenchman and Song Tao Chinese. Kevin was the dive leader and the three of us had two great dives. The first thing I had to do was some safety skills to make sure I was safe: equalization, regulator clearing, regulator retrieval, mask clearing, and buoyancy control. After the first dive there was food and drinks on the boat. After the second dive there was lunch at a local restaurant. Song Tao, had his go pro with him and emailed me some pics and a video at the end of the day.

After my first day I decided to stick around and dive for two more days in order to get the Open Water Diver (OWD) license. Fred, the shop owner gave me a book and some reading homework and told me to come back in the morning.

The second day I was with Joe, a colorful Irishman, as the instructor, another student and Song Tao again. Joe took his time to explain everything thoroughly in the boat and then after we learned a skill he made sure to constantly enforce the skills while in the water. Two more great dives focused more on the technical part of diving rather than sight seeing, but it's designed to make sure you are comfortable with the water and understand the skills.

The third day I was Kim, a local from Nha Trang, she continued my education where Joe left off and also focused on helping me fix some of the breathing and buoyancy issues Joe passed along to her that I was having trouble with. We got an 18 meter dive in for our first dive and the second dive was only 10 meters but allowed me to enjoy the scenery and focus on my breathing technique.

Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this shop to anyone that is looking for a DSD or OWD. The folks that where already certified seemed to have fun diving as well. Even though I only mentioned the instructors I specifically dive with, all the other instructors, guides, and staff on the boat also answered any questions that I had and made me feel comfortable and at home.

Went with Angel diving because the Sailing Club diving was full. Angel was considerably cheaper then the other outfitters.

The trip was really professional and easy going. The diving gear had been around the block, but was still in good condition. Kim was on board and provided a lot of interesting information. You notice that she is a very experienced diver and not the average diver-master-underwater-tour-guide.
They leave more early than the other outfitters, so if you choose you are back for lunch. I liked that they provided some food on the boat.

Thank you for this great comment. I am also really happy that you think Kim (instructor) is really capable in her job. For the fact she is really experienced. We also finish our trip in the restaurant with a lunch on top of the food and drink we offer on board

Got a recommendation from one of my friends who went there last year. Very cheap, but they offered really good quality. It was safe and all the gear was in good condition. It was worth every penny. Very good instructor as well

It is the worst diving service that I have ever tried after more than 10 times diving around southeast asia.

Firstly, the attitude of the owner: he picked up us himself at the hotel (which was great). However, he didn’t even greeting us as simple as saying “hello”, so no word, no smile from him. We recognized him thanks to his uniform with Angle Dive name, then following him to the van.

The first dive in Madona rock was great, the water was warm and clear, and we saw lots of small fishes. Then the second dive was also ok, until we went up to the surface, and saw no boat. We floated almost an hour without any signal of picking us up. We could see the boat, but it was so far away that we couldn’t swim. The instructor was with us, but kept wondering why the boat didn’t come despite his communication before diving. We kept floating under the harsh sun at noon for almost one hour, the instructor had no solution. At the end, luckily we asked another boat passing by us to call our boat. Until then, they came and picked us up.

When we got into the boat, the owner was playing game with his iphone, as if nothing happened. When we questioned him, he just simply said he thought we wanted to stay down for longer. It was 2 hours since we left the boat, no one could dive such a long time with one tank. How could he answer in such manner.

For safety protocols, the instructor didn’t bring his bubble (the one they use at the end of every dive to show where the boat can find divers) for both dives. There was no buddy check, no dive briefing before getting out of the boat. It seems to me they don’t take the safety of their customers seriously.

After the incident, sadly that the owner didn’t say sorry at all. I think for him, it was ok. But IT WASN’T OK FOR US.

I truly don’t recommend Angle Dive in Nha Trang. Please seriously consider not to book diving with them.

Thái độ cực kì tệ và quy trình an toàn lặn biển quá lỏng lẽo, Coi thường sự an toàn của hành khách. Dịch vụ lặn biển tồi tệ nhất mà tôi từng trải qua (dù đã đi lặn trên 10 lần ở khắp Đông Nam Á)

Thank you for your comment. I definitely need to tell you that it was 100 pour 100 my fault. After coming back from my dive, i found out that your dive was too long and that was no way you were still underwater. my only excuse ( and it is not a good one) is that I could not speak with you after as i argued really deep with the captain that did not want to move the boat and looking for you. (the dive master did not tell us that he was doing a drift dive). I got so upset and stressed out that i lost my control. We had a meeting after too make sure this will never happen again. and it should never Have happened.

I booked having just arrived in Nha Trang after having a look around the street. When I walked into other shops, I didn't get the vibe & friendliness I got with Angel Dive. The booking lady was so helpful & helped me prepare for my refresher the next day. The trip started at 0730 & we had a small group. I did a 1:1 refresher/fun dive with Joe (crazy Irish man! Lol). After the first dive we were treated to some great fruit & a late breakfast. The second dive was great too, I saw much more coral, fish & sea life than I was expecting. After the diving finished we came back into town for a lovely group meal with ice tea & smoothie included. What a great value package & professional service! I would HIGHLY recommend it mend Angel Dive. Thanks for some great dives.

I get really disappointed as I got great course in february. Then my friend got lisence in Hanoi by airmail however mine in HCMC has been lost. I have contacted directly to french shop owner and instructor Kim...They did sms and call back to ask for detail couple times. But never have been recieved my card and now they don't ask me if i have recieved it yet. Be careful as it is also ab you got your lisence is as important as tthe course quality. I guess I must contact SSI for my card directly rather than go through irresponsible agency like this one

I am really sorry that you did not get your license at this time. Angel Dive has done everything for you. It is the diving association that send licenses. they have your address and did send it. maybe the mailing in vietnam is not the best. you can anyway find you license online.
