We offer a Half day cooking classes for visitors to Nha Trang at a cost of $24 USD per person. It is a great experience and a must do for someone looking for variety to their trip to Nha Trang and something a little different. It involves travelling to the local market in a cyclo, a guided tour of the marketplace, where people get involved in learning about the local food and buying the ingredients for your meals. You then return to the restaurant where you prepare 3 dishes as chosen by the guests and of course enjoy eating what you have prepared.

After having dinner at Lanterns a few days before hand we noticed that this restaurant ran cooking classes so my family and I decided to give it a go Unfortunately the website wasn't working so I emailed them and within 24 hours I had received an email back from the owner with more than enough information regarding the class which... My boyfriend and I booked onto this with two friends and it was absolutely fantastic. Whilst slightly more expensive than others I would 100% recommend it. In the morning we were taken to the market on the taxi bikes which was so much fun. When we got to the market we were shown around and if we saw something interesting... More

We had so much fun from start to finish! Our day began with a cyclo ride to the market. Hanh showed us the various vendors we would purchase our ingredients - fruits, vegetables, fresh noodles, poultry and fish. The recipes were quite basic but delicious. There was much down time when we had arrived at our cooking location. Our cooking... More

We had a great cooking class at the Lanterns, including a trip to the market which was very interesting and fun! Food was good, and the staff was really lovely. I rated the course just four stars for two reasons: - I booked the class a few weeks ago and the team suggested we got a private class and something... More

We visited Lanterns Cooking Class in March whilst on Queen Victoria. A group of 6 of us attended this class. Robert was very helpful in the planning and was always very prompt in his emails. Unfortunately for us, the ship was later into Port and leaving early and our class was cut short as we missed the markets etc. The... More

My friends and I attended this cooking class two weeks ago with our three children (7months, 20months and 2and a half). From the very beginning of our communication, Rob was fantastic and very thorough with the information in his emails.he answered all our questions and was more than willing to help us with looking after the children while we enjoyed... What a fun way to spend a morning in Nha Trang! First we went to the produce/seafood/meat/poultry market (by cyclo - always an experience in Vietnam) where the locals shop to pick out all the fresh ingredients we would need for our cooking experience. Then back to the restaurant to prepare. The chef demonstrated and explained step by step, and... More

My friend and I enjoyed this very much. The cyclo ride was exciting and the market really interesting. The whole class was well organised and the menu suitable to try back home. Thao was very informative and explained things well. It would have been better with less people but that is the luck of the draw. On the plus side... More

What a great time!! From being cycled to the market, spending time getting our groceries, cooking our meal and enjoying the delicious food we made. Our Chef Tao made the whole experience memorable. If your in Nha Trang highly recommend the cooking class at Lanterns

We (2 parents + 3 kids, aged 8-13) had a great half day at Lanterns. The trip to the market was brilliant way to see some of the 'real' Nha Trang (which is invisible from the beach front strip), and our chef/teacher Nam was lovely; patient, good humored and fun to learn from. We had a great meal, learned some... More
