Bricks for Tiger Arena in Project United for Wildlife
(Should write names of sponsors and players on every bricks)
Trophy 🏆 should be elephant 🐘 or tiger 🐅 (we protect them)

Tigers versus Elephants
Dec 2019
Originally built in 1830, however the arena is currently under renovation as of December 2019, so we could venture in. We were told by our guide the elephant is an imperial symbol and the elephants were always ensured victory. The tigers were caged at the arena, the teeth and claws were removed prior to each fight ensuring victory by the elephant in order to satisfy the emperor and his family who watched atop the arena walls. If this is something that you did not know, a helpful thumbs up could be in order.

Off the beaten Path...
Aug 2019
You've to would like it to locate it, as its a better way off the beaten track. Several maintenance work in progress impedes a complete viewing - but just where else can go to a Tigers vs. Elephants coliseum? Enjoy.

Closed... But potentially interesting
Jul 2019 • Couples
We went there before noon - by foot. Interesting walk through the outskirts of Hue - but we shouldn't have gone at all.
The sight seems closed - maybe it is being restored?
It definetly has the potential of becoming interesting, especially if they do something like the VR experience at the Palace.
But now it just isn't worth the trip!
(The neighbours seem friendly though)

BORING, BEING RESTORED
Apr 2018 • Couples
Nothing much left, except arena walls in disrepair. It seems to be under reconstruction, but there really is nothing to see. Not worth visiting!
The Elephant/Tiger fights were rigged so the elephants, symbol of the Emperor, would win. Afterwards, they were sacrificied and buried at the elephant graveyard which is 50 meters away, down a dirt track.

It was closed completely
May 2018 • Friends
We went to see this but it was all locked up being restored. I hope it is made authentic when they fix it and doesn’t detract from the authenticity of it.

You have to be really interested in it to find it, as it’s a way off the beaten path. Some maintenance work in progress impedes a full viewing - but where else can visit a Tigers vs Elephants coliseum? Enjoy.
