Where have all the Mandarins gone?

One of the better parts of the Imperial City. It has been nicely restored and worth the visit and a few minutes of contemplation..

This review is quite late. The Halls of the Mandarins can be found in one of the buildings inside the Forbidden Purple City. The paintings on the walls are very old but still recognizable. We had lots of fun taking photos of ourselves in royal costumes which are rented out to visitors for a nominal fee.

Of course, souvenirs business took a part of this, but othervise is nice example of adaptation traditional concepts to western influences which just started to penetrate vietnamese establishment in time of construction

Beautifully restored hall in a light shade of blue. Pop in for a photo by the throne and to admire the restoration work done here.
