This pagoda is short drive from the Citadel. Because it's flanked by the Perfume river, the setting is extremely picturesque! Don't forget to try the sweet tofu dessert for only 5 dong sold by a nice old Vietnamese Lady. Her cart is located on the road outside the pagoda or near the parking lot.

The history of this pagoda is a bit lost on me, although I know it dates back to 1601, which makes it a very old building by Vietnamese standards. It is picturesque standing, as it does, by the riverside, and it's seven stories make it the tallest religious building in Vietnam. The gardens to the rear are attractive, and there... More

Fascinating to walk around here and observe the wonderful grounds, and even some of the activities of the locals. Not a large site, but lots to look at for an hour or so. Worthwhile to have this on your must-see list when in Hue.

We have done our fair share of Pagoda visiting in the past two sweets in Vietnam and I found this one to be the best and most interesting. The influence of the Tao religion is very evident here and the mixture of approaches made it a fascinating place to visit. Was also fairly relaxed as far as bare shoulders were... More

The sight of the sun going down over the river and this gorgeous temple is one I'll never forget. It's swooningly romantic. My wife and I took a walk around the grounds and watched the monks playing soccer. Such a beautiful, peaceful place.

We cycled to the pagoda, which was a great way to get here, and enjoy the views of the river along the way. The pagoda is beautiful and peaceful, with a pretty location next to the Perfume River.

We visited the pagoda on a tour of some of the sites of Hue. The location of the pagoda is very nice being just off the Perfume River as well as nearby to the Imperial City. It is free to enter and wander around. Along with the pagoda which is right at the front of the grounds, there is a... More

What a nice gentle start to Hue. A trip down The Perfume River to Pagoda. Nice to see the monks tending the gardens. Great bonsai collection

I like historical places and temples and make a point of visiting them when I can. The horn Mu was very nice. The grounds were well maintained and clean. One of the nicer, more beautiful locations we went toon our trip.
