This is the main gate into the Imperial palace. It is quite impressive and has five entry points. The center gate was for the emperor to enter, the two gates to either side was for ministers and senior officers and the remaining two gates was for the public to enter. Impressive and imposing.

Enjoy!

The noon Gate was nice to explore a bit, as we were too tired to be out in the hot sun. The Noon Gate is quite huge and looks quite nice. Entrance tickets are reasonably priced. Not sure if the kids would enjoy it though if it's too hot.

To enter the imperial city you have to pass through this wonderful and impressive doorway. In front of it you also get the tickets and should take a Combi-Ticket to see the main imperial tombs!

It’s the most important, and the most decorative, of the many (? 10-11) gates into the Imperial City of old Hue. It’s decorative accents are well known and recognizable.

Without a doubt, many of the prettiest existing structures at the Imperial City are the walls and various gates. A lot of the insides are missing, so if you're not up for a visit of the Imperial city on a hot day, you can take a rickshaw or bike around the outside and check out the carious lovely inspiring gates.

A stunning piece of workmanship, this architectural masterpiece takes you back in time to imagine the colour and original splendour that this edifice once exhibited.

You have to walk thru these gates that then lead you into the outer buildings and the citadel is surrounded by moats and 2 outer walls.

Get a guide so that you get the full history of this interesting place. They are restoring some of the buildings which is great, but it does not affect your tour. Worth the visit.
