About Hue Urban Adventures
Our Hue Urban Adventures team was established in 2010. Our local team is primarily Vietnamese, with a few westerners, all of whom are experienced in tourism and proud to show you the beauty of our country, friendly people and unique culture. Our team is committed to responsible travel and encourage you to read the Urban Adventure Responsible Travel guidelines and Travel tips. In addition, we believe that the best way to travel is to get off-the-beaten path and interact with locals. Even on trips going to popular tourist destinations we try to get you outside the normal itinerary where you have an opportunity to interact with local people - through lunches with a local family, visits to a local village or market, and other opportunities. Each of our Hue Urban Adventure tours will show you different aspects of our country, different corners of its streets, unique insights into our home communities and much more! Come see the best of Hue and its surrounds with us.

After doing the Perfume River Cruise, which was very relaxing with some beautiful sites along the way, we enjoyed seeing the ancient sites, such as the Thien Mu Pagoda and the Citadel and Forbidden Purple City. We were explained all of the history in detail, and found it very interesting. We saw how the Buddhist Monks live and the Emperors Tombs. We then visited an incense making shop, where I made my own incense stick, which was fun, and the local market, which was very busy, as it always is apparently. Our guide decided to do all these activities and then finish with lunch, as rain was predicted in the afternoon, and it did indeed rain when we were having our vegetarian authentic lunch, which was lovingly prepared for us, and we enjoyed very much.

I booked the Imperial City Tour. The guide, Van, is so knowledgeable and lovely. She could answer all of my questions with patience. The tour shows many interesting historical or religous sites. It felt like the perfect tour to do in Hue.

We had the pleasure of having Van be our guide for three Urban Adventure tours during our time in Hue. As a native and resident, she is able to give you a local perspective. Her insights and knowledge made our time there memorable.

Had a great day with Vung our guide and Viet our driver. Vung was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. The tour which took in the old capital, the tomb of the 4th emperor, a boat ride up the perfume river and a vegan lunch plus other things as well is highly recommended. 👍👍

What a great 4 hour tour. Welcomed into an 83 year old’s home. Cup of tea and ginger served by the owner then he chatted and read us a poem he wrote. As we didn’t want to do bicycle tour, we walked down to his farm to view rice & corn crops. After this we soaked our feet in herbal bath. Then his grandson helped us cook our lunch, and we were both given a beer by the owner. We then watched our tour guide Vanko make sesame seed bars, which the grandson gave us to bring with us. Vanko was a great guide and lovely person. Highly recommend this tour.
