Many things that kids can do from making kites, flowers and the Vietnamese hat. Great staff that can talk english, kept kids entertained making and painting. Can also peruse quality souvenirs with out being heckled. Thanks so much.

Conical hat
Nov 2019 • Friends
My sister and I went to Vietnam to see the land and learn more about the culture. Most of the people here in Vietnam wear a conical hat and we like to know more about this tradition. So we went to Luc Bo.
Here a little Tip if you like to do it, it is better to make a booking per Facebook before you go there, so they can tell you which time is possible for them.

So my sister and I went there (it's near the imperial city) at 2 pm and a really nice woman told us everything about this tradition, we learned where the name is coming from and what hard work it is to do one on your own. All the people there were so friendly to us and willing to explain things.
In the end, we get some hats which were already finished and let our names be written on it.

If you like to learn more about the tradition of this culture I just can recommend such an experience at Luc Bo.
And a big thank you to the woman who gave us such a nice insight into this interesting culture.

Conical Hat (Non La) Workshop
Jun 2019 • Solo
Today I started making my own Non La! It is a very long process and I helped a little bit with the preparatory work but most of this was done in advance. I spent 2 hours sewing the hat and only got halfway! I am coming back tomorrow! But I had such a helpful and friendly guide who told me about the history of it and how to do it. Thank you so much Vi !! And the lady that was teaching me had 47 years experience! I was given water and tea and all the staff were so friendly! If you don’t have enough time to make your own you can also paint a hat, paint a kite, or make a paper flower! It is really worth learning how much effort goes in to these crafts! I have so much respect for the people that do this!

Amazing traditional culture experience
May 2019 • Solo
You can learn abou the traditonal crafting and try it yourself! I took part in making conical hat classes and it was very interesting and enjoyable. Great place not only to watch the display but to experience culture with all senses, including smell, taste and touch. Very affordable and good localisation. I highly recommend it!

Fabulous activities for kids!
Mar 2019 • Family
We visited Luc Bo Cultural Space with our daughters of 7 and 9. They had a wonderful time painting their own conic hats and painting kites while we enjoyed a royal tea. Very friendly staff, eager to communicate and share some tips about Hue. Absolutely recomended! Perfect to combine with a visit of the imperial city of Hue as it just a 5 min. walk from the exit/entrance.

Something everyone will enjoy
Mar 2019 • Family
We were warmly welcomed with royal tea and candid crisp grapefruit peel and sweet tongue tickling candid ginger. We paid 150 000 dong for the full set of activities and thought it was well worth it.
We started by painting traditional kites with acrylic paint. You will get a brief overview of of the history of kites and will be able to make your cloth into a kite. With luck you can fly it outside in the lovely garden.
We then saw how conical hats were made and we helped prepare the fern for the hat. As it takes 6 hours to finish a hat, we got given an already made one. Each hat has a story to tell and each hat is special in its own way.
The last step is constructing lotus flowers from paper and hot glue. The flowers are so easy to make and the English speaking guide was so helpful. It was also a lovely workspace. Thank you Luc Bo team. (Ollie aged 12)

Best activity in Vietnam !
Jan 2019 • Family
We (my wife and our 2 kids: 3 and 5 years old) spent a whole afternoon with Luc Bo staff to build a a little kite, paint asian conical hat and build lotus flower. The staff was more than nice especially Nhật Hoàng Hồng who was speaking french. Entertaining our 3 years old for a whole afternoon as well as the parents: congratulations ! The hats are the best souvenirs we brought from Vietnam and being able to build the flowers from A4 papers was very interesting !
