Ipa- nima sums up our shopping in Vietnam! The shop is on sale the day I went. I had a difficult decision to pick one bag amongst the many designs that the store offers.
The three story shop is full of cute bags and wallets in different colors to suit your mood.
Each client is well assisted by their personnel. They are very courteous and happy to serve you. I love my shopping experience with them!

There are 2 shops in HCMC, both within walking distance from each other. You will not miss the shop when you walk it because of the bright array of colours on display in the shop. There are bags of different sizes, with many which cater to the Asian women. For those of you who are looking for unique bags which make heads turn, look no further. Wherever you go with an Ipa Nima bag, the bag will help start a conversation, even with total strangers!
Prices in HCMC are much better than in Singapore. A tote bag full of rosettes is sold at HCMC store for USD77 but at the Singapore store, it retails for USD212. Don't miss your chance to get hold of an Ipa Nima bag when you are in Vietnam. There are 2 stores in Hanoi too!

If you are into bags with a different look, Ipa Nima is one shop in HCM you shouldn't miss. I visited their two shops in HCM -Dong Khoi and Pasteur St. Got a bag, a wallet and a bag with a free wallet. I love them all! My brother got several items too for his friends and staff.

Ok I come from somewhere where everything is top expensive, it's hard to find a brand having its unique design yet affordable. I had my luck a few yrs back when I first visited Saigon, had very gd shooing experience here and went to their Hanoi shop(recommended to friends and we probably reached the target for the whole week for the shop) n now I am here again, on sales.
Bought a colourful strips snakeskin clutch at 140USD, beautiful pink clutch with embroidery at 92USD, a classy red wallet for a friend ~35USD, a handbag in orange and red for my mother and another super sales item, a metallic blue big bag for myself.
Not the cheapest thing in Vietnam, but sth different from the boring Chanel and L.V bags....it looks like every bag tells a story with its design and colors....

I bought a few bags from Ipa-Nima on 16th Oct. The staff asked for my passport to process the VAT refund. The staff took more than 45 minutes to fill up the VAT Refund form; saying that she does not want to make any error in the form. However my VAT refund was rejected at the airport as the staff has failed to fill in the form correctly. I called up Ipa-Nima at the airport and a staff called TRANG promised to credit the VAT refund to my credit card upon my return to Singapore. She took down my email address and at the same time I asked an email contact from her as well. Upon my return I wrote an email to Ipa-Nima on 19th Oct for the VAT Refund but to-date I have not received any email nor refund from them. I'm really pissed with the service of Ipa-Nima. This is a really really bad experience with them.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the long time it took to process you VAT refund. At that time, the VAT refund form was new and we had been informed that the VAT form needed to be perfect in order to ensure the refund was was given. We are not sure why the refund was not processed but we have refunded you your VAT. We have implemented training of all staff to ensure VAT forms are filled in quickly, efficiently and accurately.

The staff could speak Japanese which was helpful for my wife and sister-in-law. I wouldn't have said their selection of bags and especially purses was very extensive but clearly they were of good quality and imaginatively designed.
The shop didn't turn on their AC which made it a little uncomfortable inside.

I have bought quite a few bags from Ipa Nima both in Saigon and Hanoi.
Even if not to your taste out is fun to check out.
The quality of some bags are better than others but overall I tend to abuse my bags and pack far too much into them to complain :-)
You definatly won't bump into someone with the same bag as you back home and you'll get asked by many people where you bought it.

You travel half way round the world and all your other half want to buy is another handbag. She obviously knew all about this place well before we got to HCMC so seek it out we did. Thankfully the shop was quite small so she couldn't spend too long in there :)
I must admit the bags did look a bit different from the ones back home and don't cost anything like the bags in the UK. Anyway a purchase was made and I've since been informed that the bag is of excellent quality, hence the review.

This shop is pretty closed to the hotel where I stayed, so excited to bump into this shop for the first sight.
I must say it is very pricey for each bag. But when you look into detail, it does have layer and design, also many materials being used to create such bag.
After finishing the whole Dong Khoi St. and you won't find a shop like this, it is unique and special :)
I got back tax refund at the airport successfully, it did save up a lot back (when you buy an expensive bag)
