Nothing much or new if you have already shopped at Ben Than market and Saigon Square. the shopkeepers were not very interested in making a sale

We were advised to go here as the prices were much cheaper than the BT market. But that was very questionable. When I found something I wanted and asked the price, it was extremely high compared to other places so I was ready for negotiation... but there was none! No explanation (like better quality) and no negotiation!!! She just walked away disinterested.
I even found a quirky TShirt with incorrect spelling (that’s what made it quirky) and thought I had to have it... and also thought it would have to be cheap to get rid of them (she had a few) but no! The price was exorbitant however I was prepared to haggle...but once again sadly no negotiation!!! Oh well 😔
So I was quite disappointed with our excursion there.

Great place to shop!

Prices are a lot more reasonable than Ben thanh market and vendors are definitely friendlier. This plaza is much smaller but good enough. Just focus on the stalls downstairs. My friends and I managed to buy good quality tshirts and shorts and kids clothings here.

Staff not helpful or even interested in making a sale
May 2019 • Solo
I visited the Taka Plaza and was amazed at the lack of interest shown by staff. Most were playing with their mobiles and didn't even look up. Compare this to the nearby Ben Thanh Market, Saigon Square, or the Lucky Plaza where the staff are keen of make every sale they can. I found it rather strange as to why the different attitude. Basiclly the goods sold at Taka Plaza are almost identical to those sold at Ben Thanh Market, Saigon Square and the Lucky Plaza. I walked out and bought several items at the other 3 nearby markets instead.

Shopping the Bali Way!

Seen this on trip advisor and went looking for it. After our 1/2 day Jeep trip, we asked our Guide to drop us off at Taka Plaza and he did. Went into this complex and it was great. We bought a lot of stuff that was a lot cheaper than at the Ben Than markets. The stall holders where not aggressive towards you and they were keen to sell you items. Had a big buy up here and would go back for other items from this location. It was just back around the corner from Saigon centre.

Love this place

Now this is a must for the tourist even though a lot of Vietnamese people use this food and shopping mall..
It's a underground market.. Which has a shopping are for clothes. Handbags and many more trinkets.
In the centre is a massive food Hall with food stalls selling fresh food from around Asia....
You will be spoilt.
The idea is you find somewhere to sit.... And then you go hunting for what ever takes your fancy.. You place and pay for your order they give you a number to which you take back to your table. And the 5 or 10 MINS your food arrives.. There is also loads of different drink stalls from beer to smoothies to fruitjuices and bubble tea.
And then there are loads of desert stalls as well.
And the best part it not expensive and if you want like us we all ways order about 3to 4 different food items from different food stalls as it so inexpensive.
Amust if you are in ho Chi Minh you will not be disappointed..

One stop shop
Dec 2018 • Couples
Being lovers of all things shopping this place ticks all the boxes for us, air con, toilets, plenty of options (including the bestest food court, see review of Asiana) and cheap. Located in a very hectic part of town, especially at night, it has a good vibe about it, with masses of people enjoying themselves. Definitely worth a visit more than once.

A small "replica" of Saigon Squares!
Dec 2018 • Family
Just a short walk from Saigon Square and Takashimaya, this is considered a "newer" shopping center, mainly selling clothings, lifestyle, gifts and souvenirs items. I would consider it as a "smaller version" of Saigon Square, because it is much smaller in terms of size and floor area.

Prices here were about the same, on par with their counterparts in Saigon Squares (I mean the fashion items in particular), but is less crowded and so you could walk in a much "less crowded and noisy" environment and do your bargaining over prices which you must!

There's also a foodcourt upstairs but we didn't visit since we have had our dinner earlier before popping by.

Unless you are going for the fashion items, this is actually a "me-too" place from Saigon Squares and you will not miss out anything even if you do not come by here as what you see here, you can also find them in the latter!
