This underground market - Taka Plaza is a place that attracts the attention of residents and visitors to Ho Chi Minh City but basiclly the goods sold at Taka Plaza are almost identical to those sold at Ben Thanh Market and Saigon Square. Major difference here is that you will not be hassled by the vendors. If you walk further in you will find a section that is dedicated to Vietnamese young designers but their stuff is not cheap. Food court was closed except for a restaurant cum bar.It is also not as crowded as the other places so you can actually relax and walk around with no bustle.

Great prices that are either fixed or an easy bargain. Most items are on the cheaper end or copies, not high level brands. There is an area with a range of shops of young local designed clothes. Shopkeepers are not as pushy here and there is a good range of items for sale. Many are the same as available in Ben Thanh market, yet without the pushy sales and the relentless harassment and drama associated with hard bargaining to get reasonable prices.
The market is easily accessible and a level underground. There is a food court with various cafes and restaurants. Money changers are across the street if you do spend all of your VND. Well worth a visit.

We enjoy shopping at the Taka Plaza as it it a lot less chaotic than Ben Thanh. As with most markets they all have pretty much the same goods for sale. One great thing is that you don’t have to waste your time batteries as many stalls are fixed price.

Visited this plaza with my husband in Oct 2018. Markets & food court inside also some shops. Markets better priced than Ben Thanh, nicer staff. No rude pushy sales. Most items are already priced at good prices, still can barter if you buy more. You'll find all brand names Nike, Adidas, Armour, Tommy Hillfigure, leather goods, shoes & handbags. The food court has everything to cater all tastes. Thai food, Indian, Italian, Vietnamese, Vegan & Vegatarian. Good priced food. There is also a pizza restraunt in side. Would definately return.

We went here to look around...
but came back with a lot of Vietnamese produced clothes, of famous brands. At a bargain!
Will go again.
Shop 25A had a great selection of easy dry sports tops and swim wear.

Need to go. This is a hidden gem where the locals go to shop. Lots of clothes and jackets. It has an amazing really affordable kids and adults shoe store in there as well (i just bought 5 pairs there).
Check this local shopping hub out when you get the chance!

We were advised to go here as the prices were much cheaper than the BT market. But that was very questionable. When I found something I wanted and asked the price, it was extremely high compared to other places so I was ready for negotiation... but there was none! No explanation (like better quality) and no negotiation!!! She just walked away disinterested.
I even found a quirky TShirt with incorrect spelling (that’s what made it quirky) and thought I had to have it... and also thought it would have to be cheap to get rid of them (she had a few) but no! The price was exorbitant however I was prepared to haggle...but once again sadly no negotiation!!! Oh well 😔
So I was quite disappointed with our excursion there.

I was recommended Taka Plaza by my AirBnB apartment owner, which proved to be good advice.

Its location is very close to BTM and Saigon Square, but since it gets lesser known and gets less tourists, its less crowded but the range of goods sold is similar.

Prices quoted were lower than at BTM or Saigon Square and the shopkeepers were more pleasant to bargain with.
