Bike Tour with James
Feb 2019 • Solo
Recently I had a 2 day bike trip with James Wolf, co-owner of the Bike Shop. It was a great time. James took great care of me planning fun and interesting rides. He provided a great bike, I had never ridden a fat tire bike before but I found it fun and perfect for the terrain. We biked through a forest, on a beach and through small towns. He is American and it was so nice not to have any communication problems. He has lived in Vietnam for some 25 years so he really understood the culture and area which made for an informative trip. He loves photography and we got some great shots. We made tons of stops for pics and questions about what I was seeing.
Bradley his partner helped set up the trip and provided guidance for me while I was in Ho Chi Minh city. These guys were great and I highly recommend using them!

Jan 2018 • Solo
Rented a bike from these guy's for 10 day's over the Xmas/NY's period and they were a pleasure to deal with. Communicated with them through Facebook and they had everything ready and waiting for me on the agreed date. Also did 2 organised rides with them that was a great way to see the city.

Highly recommend the team @ The bike Shop VN.

Knowledgeable Staff
Apr 2017 • Solo
Staff have knowledge making the shopping experience a breeze. I purchased a number of items and found most what I would expect to find in the US. Website could be updated with current contact info.

Trustworthy Shop
Dec 2016 • Solo
Rode into Saigon from a 2300 km trek from Hanoi. Stop by this place to repair, clean, and pack my bicycle for shipping back to the States. The Aussie owner, Ben, was super nice and gave me a tour. The staff was gracious and English speaking. I spoke with the mechanic and I felt very confident when I left my beloved "Abigail" with him. I ride a touring bicycle so its larger and heavier than typical bicycles in Viet Nam.

They got everything done in less than two days. They call and I went to pick it up and was able to pay by credit card. Cheaper places can be found in Saigon but if you want someone knowledge, trustworthy, and professional this is the place to go.

Saved my world bike tour
Jul 2016 • Friends
After spending a few days in HCMC I set off to continue with my 20000 km world bike tour. As I set off I noticed that my headset was loose and took it to a mechanic. They told me that I would need specialist parts that could not be found in HCMC. I thought my tour was over but a friend took me to the Bike Shop and James and his staff were amazing. Within an hour my head set and bearings had been replaced, the bike had been serviced, a new short stem had been fitted and perhaps more importantly my cycle tour was back on.

While waiting for my bike to be fixed James showed me a range of bamboo bikes that he produces. They look awesome, if you are there definitly check them out.

Great Bike Shop in HCMC D2
May 2016 • Couples
Awesome bike shop in HCMC! We rented bikes for a few hours, which was the best way to see the city. In the shop itself, you'll find a large selection of bikes to suit everyone's needs -- entry-level to high-end -- as well as a large accessories section. We also heard that there's a Sunday morning ride every week that leaves right from the store. The owner is a super nice guy who has been living in HCMC for 21 years. He designs and builds beautiful bamboo bikes, sold under the name Boo Bicycles, and guaranteed to be the stuff of your dreams.

Cycling in mekong delta
Jan 2016 • Couples
We rented mountainbikes from the bikeshop to explore the Mekong Delta for 9 days. The roads we're sometimes bumpy or dusty, so we we're gladd that we had good bikes! It's a good way to see a local part of Vietnam and meet friendly people. Choose the smaller ways instead of de highway and you have a amazing time!

Fantastic bike tour
Jan 2016 • Friends
Every Sunday The Bike Shop offers bike rides leaving the shop at 7am. They are a great way to get to know Ho Chi Minh City from a MTB and meet new people. The rides are an adventure and you get to see a different side of city.

Great shop with wide range
Jan 2016 • Solo
If you're in need of any bike supplies, this is the place to go in D2! Plus the Sunday fun day rides are always good fun, the ride distance will vary depending on who turns up on the day. Friendly staff as well.

A brilliant place to hire a bike
Nov 2015
This is a great bike shop on the main road with a good range of bike hire options and brilliant staff – very simple to hire a bike for the following day.

On pick up, there was no local map. They helped us a print out of the local area and marked off places to see and bars/restaurants to check out. It was very helpful indeed to cycle around the district. We weren’t staying long enough to go on the Sunday bike ride – what a shame because it looked great and we really warmed to the people in the shop.

We know they were taking the mick when we dropped off the bike with their farewell of “God Save the Queen”. We pointed out that it was the Queen’s 90th Birthday on April 21st 2016. They said they might do a Queen’s Day Sale. Mark it in the diary if you are local!

Brilliant guys! We left the shop smiling.
